I did not like Debbie as a teacher. She is a super strict teacher and is harsh on grading. She adds a lot of unnecessary difficult things to assignments and can make it hard to succeed. She acts like this is the only class her students are taking. She seems nice, but I would not recommend her.

I love Deb! Be sure to actively participate and keep up on discussions, and you'll be set. The one downside to this course, specifically, is there are points for quizzes. Be sure to do well on them- theyre open book. All grading is done by you. This is such a fun class that gets you involved with the community. Get ready to teach!

I found Debbie to be condescending in her personal communication style and inaccurate in the way she constructs assignments. Quite a bit of the work was tedious without strong results. Ironically, she uses very little of what she teaches in her own instruction methods and speaks to adult students like they are little kids. Easy class. Poor teacher.

Great class! Debbie truly cares about her subject and teaches in a way that is not at all dumbed down or demoralizing. She explains everything she does when teaching. Very cool! Don't buy the book. Waste of money because you only need it for the quizzes which are online and not timed. Expect lots of projects. 2 hour class but it went by so fast.

Great friendly and comfortable classroom environment! Debbie really educated well on the ins and outs of teaching - very eye-opening. All of the projects had significance and led to great classroom discussions! So much learning in so little time. I would definitely recommend taking a class with Debbie.

Debbie is really funny and engaging, and even though there are a lot of assignments to be completed throughout the course, it's still pretty easy to get a good grade as long as you keep up with the work. She's very helpful and works with you to get things done so you can pass. Fun class.

Debbie is a great teacher. Be prepared to do a couple of presentations. You learn just as much from the other students as you do from her. In order to do well in this class you MUST to all the assignments. Also Debbie hates cell phones! :)

I loved Debra and although I didn't like the people in the class, I loved her teaching and it was one of thos classes that I looked forward to. She was upbeat and except for the online quizzes that I didn't particularly like, I learned a lot.

While I didn't have much interest in the class, Debbie made it participation enjoyable and fun. She is always willing to help and wants the best for her students. Tests are online and easy. The biggest part of your grade is a presentation--which is time consuming, but well worth it!

Great teacher. Took the history of teaching to a new level in connecting it to what we know today (which isn't much). Make sure you take a vested interest in your observation-make it memorable, not a simple assignment just to get out of the way. i would recommend the COOP class as well

Very enjoyable and entertaining class. Debra explains things very well and makes it clear what she expects from you. She has a very active classroom and also has a very pleasant disposition.
