He makes comments like "you guys are in college and u dont noe this" once i came in late and put a paper that was due on the table he waited till i took my seat and picked up the paper and said "wut is this?" and threw it on the other side of the table INFRONT OF THE ENTIRE CLASS. I got B in his class but i'v never been so insulted by a teacher

He was a great teacher, I'd take more classes with him if I was coming back to GMU. The papers are not long and he allows 2 revisions before he grades it. Amazingly understanding and helpful-you will improve in your reading and writing. Take him!

Do the required work and grade will be fine. Dr. Young gives chances to revise your work and re-submit your papers. The syllabus is crystal clear about what needs to be done and when it's due. Don't skip class and never come late. He remembers people who come even one min late and will call them out to the class as a slacker

Well for the little part of the class that he actually teaches, it can be good. But I don't think he said 10 words consecutively without drifting off topic. Very flamboyant, almost flaming. He is not actually gay but I thought so the first day of class. Loves American Idol, and is the most liberal professor I have ever seen. but very very easy.

LOVED this class. I absolutely hate English but he actually made the class enjoyable. Very funny and laid back. Assignments are easy and he gives you plenty of chances for revision. I definately recommend taking him.

Prof. Young was a great teacher for this course! I would recommend him 100%!! He places a lot of minor/major comments on your papers and with the proper revisions, you can almost guarantee a very good grade. His paper topics are easy and he is more than fair and very understanding. I would definitely take another course with Prof. Young again!!

Course was easy but I didn't learn much. The only comments I got were "Awesome job! - A" on most papers. I was hoping for more critical commentary to improve my writing skills. Also, a large portion of the class was dedicated to women's issues and racism poetry/prose, a fact not indicated in the course description. It was rather annoying.
