I took this class expecting the same college load as all my other classes the workload was ridiculous 2 to 3 hours of homework a week for a typing class i didn't not get any better at typing ethier and the class just overly stressed me out wouldn't take again

Comment:

I was nervous about taking Mrs. Pena after reading the reviews on this site; however, I have learned more in this class than any other that I've taken. Mrs. Pena expects perfection, yes, but that is the nature of the course itself, not necessarily her own personal guidelines. She is caring and wants to help in any way she can. One of my favorites.

Mrs. Pena is very condescending. She only makes eye-contact with certain students. If you ask her too many questions, she will be little you in class. She wants to find every error she can to mark you down on. When she is showing you how to complete the home work she will hurry through the directions on Office, she will hurry through the info.

Always attend class. Be certain to follow instructions carefully, one little mess up she will pick it out. I personally felt she dragged out discussions and was boring. Instead of reading to us what we needed to do wish she should have shown us.

At first I did not like her. But once the semester started going I realized as long as you do what is asked you will pass. She wants you to work for her grade. If you are interrupting her while she is speaking in class so won't be afraid to call you out on it. Respect her and she respects you. Great teacher. Would take again.

I highly recommend Pena's online class. Uses videos, discussion boards, and goes above & beyond with thoughtful feedback. I completely didn't get a section (but didn't ask for help), and she took it upon herself to send me an email explaining more in depth how to do it. She even linked it to a new video! Truly wants you to understand the material.

She's a nice lady. But like everybody else said she is VERY nit picky. If you arrive ONE minutes late to class ( Im not exaggerating) she will give you a 50% for participation for that day. Its either her way or the high way and if you learned to press a certain letter on the keyboard with a certain finger she will correct you and mark you down.

Unreasonably nit picky. Always says "ask me a question" but when you do she just gives you a rude response. Class was nothing but busywork but still took points off because she didn't like where you put your name.

LOVED her as my Document Processing instructor! I found her to be lively, good humored, and whenever I had a question, she answered right away. Anytime I emailed her with a question, I had a response within the hour. As for the grading, she graded according to Delta's Document Processing guidelines. Excellent instructor.

Do not take this teacher. She is hard and unreasonable in grading. She claims she will help a student when they need it and when student asks, she acts like student is wasting her time. Goes extremely fast when explaining something and will not slow down when politely asked.
