Ah...I didn't know what she was doing and talking in class, neither did herself! Took 15 minutes to say a sentence, and then corrected herself... Make sure you ask her all the requirements for each paper. Focus on writing good papers and you may be able to get a good grade. This class is not that hard though.

Professor Marks is kind-charactered. I will admit firsthand that receiving an A in her class will not be as easy as drawing a line (or an A, for that matter), but if you put in effort into your papers and stay awhile after class to question her comments about your papers and redo them, she won't hold back from giving you the grade you deserve, an A

Not a fair grader and extremely unclear about what is going to be on exams. She'll tell you to study ONE SPECIFIC thing and then put a completely different thing on the exam. She is unsympathetic. Also extremely disorganized--you will typically be reading or working on four things at once. As if you aren't taking 3 or 4 other classes...

One of the worst professors I've ever had. She talks and talks and talks without giving anyone else a chance to participate in class. What's worst is that she goes COMPLETELY off topic. She is unclear about EVERYTHING. She has no guidelines for papers, so we're basically guessing. She asks all the wrong questions, but expects all the right answers.

She gave me A- "Your write with too much imagination for my taste". Doesn't like when people have their own opinion. In the class asks questions, but doesn't really want to know your answer! In the essay she wants u to contrast and compare not your opinion! Overall she is easy, just don't talk talk with her much, she gets annoyed.

She's not very organized but who cares?She said she didn't give As and everyone was shocked but at the end of it, that was just crap.If you do the work good, you'll get an A.A couple of students I talked to also got As so she just says it so you do the work. Very helpful with a dry sense of humour. Keeps it interesting

She's a very nice woman, and seems eager to help but she's very scattered. Its a lot of reading and she doesn't help make the class interesting. I wouldn't recommend if you don't like reading and classical english.

Marks was a good professor. Her exams were easy i will admit that, but the downside was that there were alot of readings(though some were quite interesting).She is also very helpful when u need her..and trust me i didn't need to suck up. Pick her if you have the chance.

She makes you do a lot of reading, but if you see her for extra help she is really very accomodating and helpful. Her discussion of readings are sometimes interesting, slightly unorganized, occasionally absent, but she explains the material pretty well and you get a sense of what she wants from you. Just don't expect an easy A (if she gives them)

A good professor who wears color coordianted attire. Says that she doesnt give As, but if you deserve it, you will get it. Do readings, come to class and you're fine. Sometimes can be a little confusing, but overall, clear.

Do as she says. WHen you revise, agree with her listen to her comments, and change the paper according to her comments. Pretend you agree that changes need to be made. THat will make her very happy. Got an A. not hard. not a lot of work. may seem bad in beginning but is not bad at all.
