Very organized, uses your feedback as a class to shape the class. It's fairly heavy homework, with reading and reflections, and you do basically the same thing every day with different context. But, this class was incredible. I learned SO much in one semester its crazy how much we fit in. She is always available for help and for input. Super sweet.

She's very nice, but she always had us do weird and boring activities and could be intense. Also, PARTICIPATION MATTERS. It was hard for me because my Spanish was quite rusty, but you need to do the readings and be prepared because she will call out people. Lots of reading and homework.

Worst teacher I had at Elon, worst class I took at Elon. It was taught like a high school history class: long, boring lectures using powerpoint, little to no class discussion, lots of names and dates, everything new/interesting that I learned, I learned from the documentaries we watched which I could have done w/o taking this class.

Honestly I had good expectations for this class when I first came in but as time went on I realized how tough the class became. She wasn't very clear on her assignments especially the final project. We didnt get feedback on our first draft so we were all left confused. The course content itself was interesting but her teaching is something else.

The topic of the class was interesting, but the amount of work she assigned took away any enjoyment I had in the subject. Hundreds of pages of reading would be assigned and we would not go over it for weeks and then we'd be expected to remember every detail of it. Tests aren't hard and she's a fair grader, just a lot of pointless assignments.

The students basically teach the class as all she does is assign different sections of the reading and has each person present part of it. The tests are ridiculous and are only about student presentations. I love Spanish but I recommend taking another class unless you happen to be one of her favorites.

Avoid taking her. Many pointless assignments in class. Wasted class time spent on her navigating through Blackboard aimlessly. Has an attitude to students. I thought learning about Latin American Civilization would be interesting but she somehow she made it the complete opposite. Tests aren't bad if you pay attention but its hard to do so.

I love her as a person but did not enjoy her as a teacher. She has a stop watch so she spends the exact amount of time on everything - it's bad cus she spends same amt of time on the easy stuff as the hard stuff. tests are pretty straight forward. i just could not stand her class.

Such a sweet woman. I loathe speaking Spanish but unlike other language teachers, she tries not to single out people who don't like to speak in class. The workload is reasonable considering this is a 300 level class. ALWAYS willing to help students with papers and other work.

It's an easy class if you've taken spanish somewhat recently. Know the material before class starts because she WILL single you out!! However don't act you know everything because then she will just use you and that's plain scary. Short and easy class !

SO easy in this course. If you can read in Spanish, then you can get it done. Most people in the class are just slackers
