Every assignment, tutorial instruction, exam review is absolutely littered with typos to the point that you won't be able to understand them if you don't already have a good grasp of the material. Lectures are fine.

Comment:

This guy isn't the antichrist people make him out to be. There were few typos on assignments but 99% of the time its easy to see what is meant. As for lectures they weren't that bad. His handwriting is a weird cursive but you learn to read it lol? Hes very knowleadgable about what he teaches and don't mistake his accent for him being condescending.

Comment:

Looking back now, the course wasnt particularly difficult, but Doron's teaching style and the excessive amount of typos on the tests/assignments made everything more difficult than it needs to be. He also speaks in a rather condescending and unhelpful way when asked for help, his tone says "why are you asking me? find the answer by yourself"

This guy is on a power trip every class. Writes incomprehensible nonsense on the board and gets angry when people ask him questions about it. When people leave or enter the class he takes 30 seconds to get back on track from yelling at them for 'slamming the door' (which closes automatically). Don't go to class, avoid him. Read the book instead.

The course is very easy but it's really hard to understand this prof. Textbook was my best friend to do the Assignments. He has lots of errors on his code and give us correction on the last minute of Assignment due. Take with other prof if you have a choice otherwise don't spend your time going to the class, just read the textbook.

Knowing he makes over 156k a year truly disappoints me because, he is by far the worst Computer Science Prof I have ever had. Mumbles when lecturing, many errors and typos in his midterms, assignments are often confusing, labs are usually the TA's teaching us a lesson he forgot to teach. If can, avoid him because clearly he doesn't care about us.

By far the most careless and unorganized professor I have had here at Carleton. I would highly recommend if COMP2401 has an option with another prof to take it. All of the assignments and even the midterm are filled with errors and typos. I will definitely be avoiding taking any classes with this professor in the future if possible.

If anyone else is teaching 2401, take them instead. Doron talks down to students, he provides assignment template code riddled with errors, and his tests and practice midterms are so poorly written I'm surprised I even bothered with them. Read the textbook, it is your best friend, because he certainly isn't.

It's a little early into the year but I am strongly against his teaching style. He gives off an aggressive vibe, which makes students feel that asking questions is not allowed. He's also very poorly organized and does not give you a proper structure of the course. I will admit, he is extremely knowledgeable on the topic, which is refreshing.

You can barley hear him when he speaks, can't read his writing on the slides, and the stuff taught in class isn't at all related to the assignments and tutorials; assignments are also very challenging. Also, he wastes time getting mad at students who come into class late because they are "disrupting" the lecture. I would not recommend this prof.

It's been 2 months now since I completed COMP 2401. Looking back on it, I see why Doron strived to push us with his in-depth assignments and somewhat blunt teaching style. I am really benefiting from his teaching style during my coop job I have been working at for almost 2 months now.

Truly an amazing prof. If not he is probably the best one I have had so far through out my 3 years. I conveys material in a way no other prof would. It is so clear and concise, you will leave feeling like you spent 10 years studying your phd. His enthusiasm for teaching is contagious and is outrageously helpful during office hours.

Probably one of the best profs I have had for teaching software based courses. He has very good knowledge of the material and is great at conveying it clearly. Also, he gives out review material for tests! That is amazing, and not something you always see in a prof.
