My #1 advice: READ THE ASSIGNED READINGS!!! Aside from the 4 quizzes, there are no other grades. Lectures were VERY boring sometimes. However, with some decent notes, a study guide, and actually reading the assigned readings, I managed to score A's and B+'s on her quizzes. PAY ATTENTION - because EVERYTHING she talks about shows up on the quizzes.

All I can recommend doing for this class is doing the readings and showing up for class. If you do those, the tests should be fairly easy. She takes attendance, and shes clear on what you need to know and helps you understand the material. Shes a little outdated on how she presents the material but its not that bad. Should be an easy A.

I love to hear stories and I like examples however, there is a such things as overkill. I attended every class, actively listened, and read the readings and still did poorly on the tests. The people around me were just as confused as I was and it's useless asking her for help if you aren't understanding a topic.

I really enjoyed this class. The material wasnt posted online, but if you show up, take good notes, and study, youll likely do fine. Shes a little old school with the presentation of material, but shes very knowledgeable!

Honestly, the best professor that I've had so far! Everything that is discussed in class is on the tests. She also has study guides in the book that match the material that will be on the test. Pay attention in class and read the assigned readings (which is not a lot) and you'll do great!

This class has very difficult material to learn and Dr. Davis does not use power points, but she writes on a piece of paper in short bullet points for you to write down. If you only write what she puts on the board, you won't understand your notes. The only grades you get in the class are from the exams and they are very tough.

Class was very boring and you have to be a great note taker to even get a C. You must pay attention when she talks because everything is crucial. A very hard class so do not take if you don't have to because is for sure a GPA destroyer.I would be willing to share my notes with anyone taking this class just because I know how tough it is.

Doesn't use powerpoint, so you better be good at taking notes from listening. Uses a lot of maps and visual aids on the overhead projector. Tests are much harder than you'd expect. There's four tests and each is worth 25% of your final grade, so there's no graded homework, but if you aren't a good test taker, you're screwed.

You will only pass this class with the grace of GOD, I promise. You can pay attention, take notes, and do all the readings, but still struggle with passing the exams. Your grade relies solely on these exams.

Professor Davis loves the topic she teaches but can sometimes ramble on and on about the same topic for the WHOLE class. I do not recommend this course. If you can, check to see if there is another class you can take in place of this one. It is really hard to achieve the grade you want.

Professor Davis is extremely knowledgeable about ATY and is very nice. Her class is all lecture and you take 4 tests that are the entirety of your grade. It may seem easy because you don't have to participate or do HW, but the tests are hard. If you don't put in the extra effort, you will not do well.

Mrs. Davis wrote her OWN TEXTBOOK, which had a new edition come out this semester. I shelled out over $150. Then she had the nerve to talk about saving students money. That got us off on the wrong foot from the very start. She ONLY has test grades, and they are HARD (also she calls them quizzes wtf). Her presentation/method is SO outdated.

I wouldn't advise anyone take this course. The professor has a million examples for one topic and it often feels as if it isn't related to what you should be learning. It is possible to pass with a good grade but you would need to capture everything she says or rely on the readings. See if there is a replacement course you could take instead.

It is very hard to stay focused in this class. Her voice is very monotoned and she doesn't notice students on their phones or sleeping in class so it is very easy to get sidetracked. Tests are pretty difficult and there are only 4 which make up the entire grade. If you're not good at paying attention to lecture or at tests, I would't recommend.

She can be boring since she mainly spends class lecturing, and does not engage with students much. However, if you do not pass it's because: you did not go to class, did not get notes from a friend if you miss class(she allows a few days missed), and if you didn't study. She always offers a few extra credit questions on each test. It should be an A

Take good notes of her lectures. There aren't electronic versions. She lectures with a projector screen, so not just auditory. There are a few key book sections - and she tells you what. There are only 4 exams, and that is where the bulk of your grade comes from. Find a buddy, take good notes, read the assigned parts of the book, and study. No hw.

She is very lecture heavy. She is boring and she does not stop talking, she talks for the whole entire class period. She does not use keynotes, she uses paper for EVERYTHING! You going to do a lot of reading and you need to read all the readings to be successful. She only grades 4 test and that determine your grade and she does not drop the lowest.

Dr. Davis is an amazing professor. She makes you work though, get ready to study and take thorough notes. I've taken two courses with her and she really is cool and understanding. DON'T SKIP CLASS! She is an incredibly smart and talented individual and her lectures are packed full of information. Pay attention. Study. Study. Ask questions.
