I have Borowsky for Biostats. Although the class is immensely boring, Borowsky is an approachable, friendly, and sincere professor. Also, he is very fair and lets us know what to stress for the exams. I am glad I chose to take Biostats with Borowsky over the other professors. I also feel reading the textbook is critical for success in this class.

no use reading txt, questions r directly from slides and class. a 70 is a solid A, so dont freak out when u bomb the 1st. just don't skip his class and pay attention to every stupid thing he says (even the stories) and ur gold. there are many intro bio profs whos class u can skip (ie coruzzi) - borowski (and scchicitano) are NOT in this category!

Worst class I have taken at NYU. The professor stutters through the entire class, is disorganized, and speaks monotonously. There are some people who simply should not be teachers - Professor Borowsky is one of them.

Lectures were interesting, but tests were ridiculous. 50=A. Go figure. Only the strong survive. Best part about it was being able to have the late, great Stephen Jay Gould teach us about evoluation for one week (fall '97). Dave Schicitano was a trip!

Horribly run class. Has specialists from each field come in and talk about chapters, but they just talk about what they do in the field, so there's no real continuity between classes. Tests are ridiculous, averages so far have both been below 60, little curving.
