If you find it difficult to learn through a textbook this class may not be for you, at least not online. There is a lot of reading (basically the only real info given to you). Not a good class if you work or are taking other classes. 30 minutes for quizzes is not enough time. Some problems need more time to solve equations.

very responsive to emails and very helpful and encouraging. Material is hard work but he has lectures online to help and also comments on posts to further the discussions unlike other professors who have no interaction at all. The book is interactive so that helps as well. great professor, would recommend 100 times!

You get 2 chances per test (weekly). all the answers are somewhere in the book typically word for word. Easy course if you read the chapters. You have to participate in a weekly discussion: easy- just don't forget to participate. there's two major tests. one covering the first 7 ch. and the 2nd covering the next 7 ch. Very responsive to emails.

online class. Just casually read the book and listen to the textbook website's brief audio file and you should do fine. One short paper and he gives you the outline in the syllabus. All exams can be taken twice, 2nd version always seemed to be much easier.

Economics is hard and I wasn't interested in taking it, but I had to. I'm really glad I took it with Copeland because he has great lectures and explains everything really well. Plus, he grades on a curve and has three short papers that will help your grade.

Prof. Copeland is extremely kind and understanding. My family experienced a tragedy this summer and without his help, there's no way I could've passed. Be careful because the quizzes are intense - you need to REALLY know the material before you take them. Otherwise the workload is light and semi-self-paced. I would take a class from him again.

I was really interested in economics before I took the class. Turns out it wasn't really my thing, but Copeland was a good professor. Weekly discussions worth 3pts, and weekly quizzes worth 20. You'll also have (2) 2-page papers. That's it. The quizzes are really difficult, but not impossible. Take advantage of the practice tests he posts.

The professor is very helpful and quick to respond to questions. He understands that this is a very difficult course and wants to help. I'd recommend him to friends that need an ECON credit.

Although the material of the class is kind of difficult, Copeland made it much more bareable. I took the online course and he always responded to the e-mails quickly and even sent weekly check up emails. Read the chapters thoroughly and you're good to go. There are two reports but they are simple!

This class was tough for me because, well, Economics is a tough class. Copeland tells you up front that it can be a hard class, but he has a 5% swing. Keep up, do a chapter a week & you should be fine (due dates are soft), don't try and cram multiple weeks in a weekend or you'll hurt your brain. I'm glad I'm done with it, but Copeland is VERY fair!

I took his Econ 1 class online, it was afwful. I barely passed, only because he dropped the grading scale 5%. His quizzes are hard, and there is no lecture material or anything, just read the chapter then take the quiz. I thought I was reading the wrong book, because it has nothing to do with the quizzes. DONT TAKE THIS CLASS ONLINE!

I took this class online, and it is was very difficult. The study material he provides is not that useful. His quizzes are very hard and sometimes do not even cover the material in the book. He did drop his grading scale 5%; this is the only reason why I got a B in his class. He returns emails quickly. Best advice don't take this class online.

Got an "A" in the in Managerial Finance MBA program at Baker University in 07. There were no power point presentations with his lecture. The guy just comes to class and lectures out of the book. The class was a piece of cake, but I learned NOTHING! I'm sure he never looked at anything submitted to him. Everyone in class received an A. A total joke!

This class is extremely difficult online. I do not think that Mr. Copeland is a poor teacher. I think he does just fine as an online teacher but this class would be better with face to face communication. He is very prompt on returning e-mails and has very helpful suggestions on how to better prepare for quizzes (which are extremely hard).
