17 years after earning my BS from EWU, I'm a professor now myself, and I still remember this man's lectures. As an EWU alum, I feel obligated to convey what Professor Orr means to me. Doug, you touched my heart with your enthusiasm, and built a deep appreciation for a topic I had never considered much before your class. You rock beyond words!!!!!

Very smart prof. Really knows economics. I didn't really care for his lectures due to his random tangents. You have to take a lot of notes even on his tangents because those will be test questions

Professor Orr really knows his stuff. This class was very lecture-intensive, but his style of teaching really paid off. I learned a lot. It is true that he expects a lot out of his students, but he just wants you to learn. Great professor.

Excellent Professor. The economics department is filled with neoconservative neoliberal professors so it is great to actually have a professor that will give you another perspective so that you can be an objective student and decide for yourself. But if you are smart you will listen to what he has to teach you and take it to heart. Really smart!!

Seems like he really likes to teach. Brings an obvious bias to the classroom. Goes off on awsome tangent rants. Fun to watch. Take him if you want to learn something.

Very liberal and very opinionated prof, whom i disagree with often, but he is really into his work, and really into making sure people learn, by far not the easiest econ professor, but definetly worth the extra work to get a view of his theories and bias'

He's a pretty cool teacher. explains thing well. Harder then some teachers but helps you learn. It's funny. He got on The O'Reilly Factor as being the most rediculous item of the day for wanted to keep a liberal speaker O'reilly doesn't like

Mr. Orr was very entertaining in class, led good group discussions, and let students express their opinions. He disagreed graciously. He is a tough grader though and you have to attend class and get notes (at least for macro) 'cuz a lot of material is not in the book that he covers.

He convinced me through his lectures that I should add a second major: Economics. I haven't regretted my decision. He is fun, understandable and you'll learn a lot, and even if you don't agree with him at least you'll different viewpoints and where you're own biases lye.
