I took her class online for the spring semester. This was my second time taking the class. Her directions were really easy to understand, especially for an online class. If you go on campus to present speeches, she gives you feedback in that same session. This class can be really simple if you just make sure to do the work on time. :)

Great professor! Took the class online. Professor Bookout is very organized and easily reachable via email. (not my experience with a different professor in a prior semester) She sends weekly reminders, lots of constructive feedback and is very encouraging. I strongly recommend her for this class.

GGRRREEEAAATTT TEACHER!!! She's very nice. Always reminds you when your assignments are due, and will work with you if something doesn't go right. I got an A. I HIGHLY recommend taking her class if you need speech.

There is a lot of work that has to be turned in on weekly basis. But she picks one day a week so you always know what day your stuff is due. It's always pretty easy and if you have questions she doesn't hesitate to help. The speeches aren't bad either. She seems pretty lenient when she grades them even if she makes it sound like she grades tough.

I don't lilke speakingin front of others, but Mrs. Bookout made it fun and relaxed. I took the class over a three weekend period - only had to do 3 speeches and one group project, and a couple tests. Loved the class - would take her again, even for a full semester course. She's GREAT!!!

I hated this class. There was so much work in such a sort amount of time. I took this as a summer course, and I don't think I even do that much work in a regular semester long class. I guess if you like a lot of work, then this is the class for you. And none of the work was even fun. Some teachers at least TRY make the class enjoyable.

I did not want to take this class at all. She made it very worth my time. I didn't think I would learn a great deal but I gained more knowledge about giving speeches and my self confidence. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone especially if you choose to take her online course.

I took this class online in the spring. I took 3 tests(1 hour to complete 50 questions open book). 3 speeches(you have the option of using you tube to upload, using your web cam and then burn the speech to a dvd(mail or drop off to campus), or go in to campus to deliver the speech. Also she did offer 2 extra credit assignments.Guaranteed A+ class

What can I say about Prof. Bookout.... absolutely fantastic. Her fast-track class (3 weekends) was very interesting, FUN and easy! We had 2 major speeches, one of which was to make a short movie. Super cool. I highly recommend Prof. Bookout, because she makes speaking in public totally stess-less and fun.

I highly recommend her to everybody who wants to take SPEECH. I really hated public speaking, but after taking her class, I actually thought of taking more speech classes with her. However, i cant cuz i need to follow the plan for my biology major. In her class we need to listen to lectures and read powerpoints then u'll be so fine. very easy A.
