Personal Finance didn't seem too tough to me at first but professor Mitchell makes you hate money. Everything he assigned was tough! He piles on so much HW each week with deadlines on quizzes that it's tough to keep up. Their were no discussions but he hardly communicated with the class in general.

I took both ACC 101 and 102 from him. He's a helpful one but he would get mad if you check phone and facebook in class. Take him if you truly love accounting

Dr. Mitchell is a very hard professor to understand. His reviews/practice quizzes have nothing to do with the actual exams/quizzes. Hes a nice person outside of class, just sets the bar high for an intro class. I would not recommend him for Managerial Accounting not even if he was the only professor available.

Extremely rude to students. HE isn't helpful at all. Just regurgitate everything from the book. He has great background in accounting and all but really cannot teach. He has a very loud and obnoxious voice and attitude.

He's not helpful at all. He is rude to students. He is always messing up in the quizes and exams. Yes he provides you with practice quizes/exams but they are completely different fromt he actual quizes/exams so they are worthless. Stay away from this teacher.

MR. MITCHELL IS GREAT! He offers a lot of extra credit, go to the TUTOR, it helps! Must keep up with the homework or you'll get lost. It's not an easy subject, but put the work in, and you'll earn an A. Gives practice test for every test, midterm and final. He pushes you to think.

Passionate and thorough teacher. HW online, provides 4+ extra credits, very helpful for students to pass. Encourages students to ask questions, I suggest you do. He will try to get students involved in participation, 2 group projects. All the resources are there you just have to be prepared and serious about understanding concept. Highly recommend!

DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS ONLINE. I am not sure what he's like in person, but as an online instructor he is terrible. NEVER returns his emails. I have asked many questions on assignments and have gotten NO response whatsoever. Lots of homework and quizzes.

This is a good professor and a good person. If you wanna learn take with him. Remenber that college is about learning and student have to to the biggest part. He is wondeful, but go to class with the chapter prepated so you'll understand better, and he will help you to do it faster. He is the best teacher in the accounting department at santa ana.

I had him for Acct 101 & 102. He is a very nice, knowledgable teacher. I highly recommend you do the hw and study hard. I had most things memorized when I wrote down on the 3*5 card. Sometimes I don't even use it. I got a B in 101 and A in 102. Learning it is up to you. But this teacher will try his best to help you understand the subject.

He is the worst teacher I've ever had in my life. After taking over 80 units between SAC and SCC, this was the hardest class to get through. He is a useless teacher who is unfair, and I am walking away from this class with an A, having learned absolutely nothing This teacher should retire and no one should take him if they want to learn something.
