This professor is my favorite professor on this whole campus. I came to his class a child, left a MAN. I learned a lot of things inside and outside the classroom with him, and I am glad I got the chance to be a student of his. Every time I see him, we always talk for a bit. HE IS JUST THAT MAN.

BEST PROFESSOR THAT I HAVE EVER TAKEN AT LMU. He is the most genuine and sincere people that I have ever met. He manages to get the entire class involved with discussions and he appreciates everyone's opinion. There is one paper, a midterm, a final, and sometimes extra credit. STUDY FOR HIS MIDTERM AND FINAL. Not difficult just helps to study.

Attendance not required but recommended.Grade based on a midterm, final, and interview all worth 1/3 of your grade. Great teacher who focuses on teaching you life lessons while also teaching you about the textbook. Highly recommended class.

Professor B is an extremely kind professor who will go out of his way and take a lot of time out of his schedule to assist you with what you need. However, inside of the classroom, he tends to go off on so many tangents and the class never focused too much on the readings. Be prepared to talk in his class because he will call on you!

he's nice, but kind of a jazz snob and gets upset when students arent "passionate". unloads a lot of crap before the final.

Eddie is so chill. Quizzes are every Monday and come straight from the reading material and lecture. His tests are pretty easy, and he gives extra credit for knowing the African countries. Take him if you can.

He is a really cool guy. But you have to make sure you stay up with the reading because he gives you lots of quizzes and there is a lot of info on the exams. Also, learn the countries of Africa because that is how you get extra credit. He is a very nice guy with lots of life lessons to talk about

This class was really cool to take. Becton was alive in the morning and it took some getting used to his style, but it seemed to work.

A friendly person, but, in my opinion, unfortunately not a great teacher. His lectures, quizzes, and tests feel unorganized and his class seem unstructured. The material is not too difficult, but it is not taught very well.

It would serve any college student well to learn about the history of jazz, and listening to music during class is cool. Sometimes quizzes were a little hard to follow, but generally pretty easy.
