I had her for media writing and MIG. Yeah, she's a tough grader but you will learn SO MUCH from her. I got a B and a B+ in these courses. She also prepares you well for the GSP

Comment:

Wonderful teacher, easy to follow, interesting, approachable and friendly. BUT... very very difficult grader and the courseload is rediculous. At least one story per night, reading, AP and grammar tests, pop quizzes on the news.. be prepared and serious about this class and you'll do alright. She's willing to help anyone & very well-educated!

This teacher grades very very hard, you get an automatic D if you spell one name wrong. Also you need a B to pass the class for JMC majors and she doesnt give A's cause she says if you can get an A you shouldnt be here you should be writing for a newspaper.

She is awesome. You can work your tail off and get an A, but watch out because she's a grammar Nazi. Good thing though, it being journalism and all...and don't worry, she'll teach you every grammar tidbit you want to know and more if you just ask.

The class was a joke, but for the most part it was really easy. As she'll warn you to do, make sure you spell things right...I had a technically flawless paper and ended up with a C because i put a dash in the word Kmart.
