Very well-organized, sticks to the syllabus but works through it at a good pace. Time required for class notes was 5x what was spent on reading, and quizzes were way too hard, but overall a really nice, really effective prof

Her quizzes are BRUTAL. Everyone has a couple of bad quizzes that makes them wonder if they should drop out. She is thorough in explaning how she grades so you learn from your mistakes. Unlike other profs, she genuninely wants students to succeed. She works hard to connect with students. She is proud to talk about her past students.

Roberts is wonderfully organized. She prepares questions for us ahead of time. The subject is difficult. Roberts is sometimes stubborn and won't admit that she is wrong. And she's tough All the same, I like her.

Her quizes are helpful for you to understand whether or not you know your stuff - but this class in general tends to be detail-oriented, so some of the answers to the quizes are found in footnotes, etc. She has a great personality though and is fun to listen too. Difficult material though - use Gilbert's study guide to help follow...

I had Roberts last year. I now am clerking in a Real Estate firm, and am glad for those Property quizzes and homework. I actually know my stuff pretty well. If you don't want work, quit law school. If you want to learn, take Roberts. And I was not much above the average in her classes.

One of the best professors in the law school. Although her class is not easy, this is LAW SCHOOL, not kindergarten.

Her quizes are brutal- five choices and any combination or none could be correct. They were not helpful and were worth %40 of the final grade! On more then one the average score was 2. When calling on people she often tried to tie in subject matter from other classes assuming we knew it when really we havn't covered it yet adding to the confusion.

The worst professor I have ever had. Her quizzes are disheartening as suggested earlier, and completely unhelpful. She is the most distracting person in class, starting conversations about irrelevant topics throughout the lectures. Answers drawn out questions in the beginning of class that confuse you even on subjects that felt clear. Avoid!

Beware, she is a homework Nazi and gives tons of busy work. Like first year students don't have enough to do already. Her class notes are similar to what a high school class would complete, low on analytical thinking questions and high on unskilled "hunt for the answer in the reading" questions.

Professor Roberts puts a lot of effort into teaching. It seems like she enjoys it, and cares about her students. The quizzes helped us to know where we stood, and also forced us to stay on our toes all year long. Her weekly outlines were helpful too. It was a tough class, but I know that I learned a lot. I would reccommend her.

It should be noted that the students who have been posting the negative reviews are likely doing poorly for a reason. The whiners doing poorly are no doubt "traditional students"; translate; lazy kids fresh out of college and looking for a free ride. For real students; Robert's system is great.

Prof Roberts definitely knows her material and is helpful when you talk to her. However her quizzes are disheartening and no matter how well you know material you will still bomb the quiz. The worst are those where you have to pick any/all of 5 answers and some/none could be correct.

Her system provides students with tools for learn property. She gives effort in helping. She doesn't play favorites; indeed, her grading is arbitrary. People doing well on the mult. choice quizzes often did poorly overall for no apparent reason. Very likable, just difficult to justify the grades.

Professor Eileen Roberts too often seems preoccupied with what she is saying, rather than with whether students are understanding her. Students who use a subservient tone with her receive favoritism, while others have been treated harshly and unprofessionally, even during class. She can be shrewd.

Roberts does a great job. She has an excellent command of the material and goes to great lengths to make sure students develop the same i.e. the class notes. She is fair and friendly. I did not get the grade I wanted but I got the grade I earned. I guess others have a hard time dealing with that.

Comment:
Professor Roberts is nice and has great intentions; However, I think that she is so smart that she has trouble seeing that she must start teaching at a very basic level, rather than leaving us to infer the basics from cases. She makes a lot of individ points without placing them large scale.
