She really cares about her students and the world around her. One project all year, done in pieces in a group, about a local nonprofit. Super rewarding class and also crazy easy. She's lenient with deadlines, too. I would definitely recommend her, the class was easy yet rewarding and she's an awesome, passionate, caring person!

Elizabeth Gumnior is by far the best professor I have ever had. She is the sweetest, most caring individual and she doesn't care about the grade. She really wants you to get something out of the class. One big group project is the only thing you work on for the whole year. Please please PLEASE take her!!

Prof Guminor is a great pick for WRTC. She doesn't ask for much. All you really have to do is show up for class and put in effort. You have one total project for the entire year that determines your grade. However, as long as you complete it and show interest and effort you will get a good grade. I would take again.

Prof. Guminor really doesn't ask for much. Attendance is important to her bc there is no book so all of the learning is done in class. 1 project u pick all semester that counts as ur final. As long as she can see u put effort into it & are passionate about it, u will get a good grade. She loves our generation & thinks everything we do is great lol

Elizabeth Gumnior is very passionate about rhetoric, and that can be pretty inspiring for students. She doesn't follow a syllabus, but she does alter the class to the students' opinions and suggestions. She doesn't use Canvas either, but she's so lax with grading and assignments, it didn't bother me much. She's a great human being, and super sweet!

Doesn't use Canvas(against policy),didn't release a syllabus until Thanksgiving (against policy), complains & cries about the election and how horrible USA is rather than teaching appropriate content,doesn't make class structure clear,reduces a letter grade if you're absent but misses class herself for being sick. Sure it's easy. So what.

This class is extremely easy. If you have a tough load and don't want a gen-ed to slow you down, this class is perfect. She doesn't believe in grades or textbooks. No reading or essay writing. As long as you are passionate about something and show up, you're guaranteered an A. Also she's a genuine person :)

Doesn't believe in grades ('nuf said). But seriously, if you put a good faith effort into the class you'll get so much out of it. Go into this class with the attitude that it will make you a better writer and a better student and you're golden to get an A (if you don't go to class then expect a B or lower).

Great teacher, doesn't believe in grades, its not mandatory to come to class but it does affect your final grade. Not coming does not make her happy, so show up and participate. Its not hard, as long as you show effort in your work she will grade you really well. 4 papers, no final, easy stuff. Really understanding if you keep on her good side.

I would high recommend this professor. You can easily get an A without much effort but if you did put in effort you will get so much more out of the class. She is extremely helpful and wants you to do well. She is flexible about deadlines if you come to her ahead of time. Her class led me to become a double major: Political Science/WRTC.

she seems tough at first, but she's a very easy teacher. your grade is based on 4 papers written throughout the semester. i only wrote 3 of them, and turned them all in over a week late (one of them was more than a month late) and missed class regularly, and somehow i still got a B in her class. dont bother buying the textbook- you wont open it.

Hard. This class is hard. Your entire grade is composed of 4 papers and participation. Her grading wasn't too hard, but the participation doesn't even allow for a grade boost. If you enjoy writing, take this class, she really is passionate about it. The only problem is if you're not, you'll struggle keeping up.

She is quite possibly the coolest person I've ever met. The class is easy, but she still teaches you a lot. She is really understanding and will do everything possible to help you do well. Stop at nothing to get into her class...it's worth it!

She is a huge Harry Potter fan and our entire class is based on Harry Potter. Shes a good professor and dresses like she's straight out of one of the Harry Potter books.
