Comment:

Probably one of the sweetest people I've ever met. Easy grader. Writing workshops for each assignment and you get feedback from either her or a TF, plus the students in your group which is super helpful. I thought a lot of the assignments were actually pretty fun. She's is quiet, but if you do have trouble hearing her, sit towards the front.

Comment:

Davis is such a sweet and helpful teacher. Probably the second best professor I've had at BU. You can tell she wants you to do well by the way she teaches her class. There are lots of writing workshop days to get feedback from her and your peers. Only downside would be that you have to use a lot of your prints.

Davis was such an amazing teacher! While she may be quiet, she's definitely a sweetheart. She is a fair grader, and her assignments were easy. They were long, but really easy. Take her if you have to take 201. I've heard some bad things about the other professors. She's a safe bet!

Davis is the kindest professor I have ever had! She is so understanding when it comes to missing class and turning work in late. She's very helpful and really cares about her students. She's a fair grader and I can really notice an improvement in my grammar & writing since taking this class. Take her class!

Professor Davis was the best educator I have ever had in my lifetime. She is just the sweetest person in the world and she teaches COM201 like a queen. STRONGLY recommend you take the class because she is flippin AMAZING.

Davis is a great prof! She is easy going and does not grade harshly. I didn't study for either grammar test and got an A on both. It's common sense, but if you really are struggling on the practice tests, meet with her and study the text book! It's not a hard class. I got a B+ or higher on every assignment with minimal effort.

I really enjoyed CO201 with Davis and would highly recommend it! I got a B+ or A- on every single assignment. She makes the class interesting and really cares about her students. She's always available outside of class too, so take advantage! You don't need the textbook, so save yourself some money.

I really loved professor Davis! She is a soft-spoken woman who really just wants you to do well and take her class seriously. She holds workshops for papers and is always available for office hours. Her comments on the papers help but I could never seem to get anything above a B+. I've heard of other people gettnig it though!

I don't know what these people are talking about. Although she is not the greatest teacher ever, Davis is really sweet and helpful. I got A's on every assignment and the grammar isn't as painful as everyone says because every 201 class does it. Definitely better than some of the other COM teachers.

People wouldn't cough in class so that we could hear what she said. A's really don't exist; don't buy the books you don't need them; answers questions and she'll love you; no need for office hours; grammar tests are hard for no reason and they're a big part of your grade; try not to laugh when she nods her head expecting you to agree with her.

Davis is is very UNCLEAR with directions, then rips your paper to shreds with her shaky handwriting. Office hours are genuinely USELESS. Contesting a grade is also useless. I tried to on a grammar test, where I am POSITIVE that there was an alternative way to fix this mistake. She just kept saying, but this is how the the test makers fixed it!

You will never get a good grade in her class. A's don't exist. She doesn't know what she wants, thus she can't even grade your paper correctly. Pointless office hours appointments. I absolutely LOVED this course. Davis is incredibly sweet, understanding, and helpful. Students have tons of creative liberty in choosing topics for projects. She is a fair and sometimes generous grader. I'd take this class again if I could.

I loved Prof. Davis. My only criticism is that she sometimes was unclear about assignments. The class was worthwhile and I got a lot out of it. Definitely talk CO201 with Davis. I've heard endless horror stories about other professors.
