Comment:

Prof. Newhouse is one of the few great literature professors I've encoutered in a while. He is open to your ideas and is not set in his ways. He is passionate, funny and understanding of students' lives. I think he's leaving BU- but anyone would be luck to have him in any class he teaches.

Comment:

Newhouse is funny, passionate, fair, and most importantly super clear. He speaks loud so that you do not have to try really hard to listen. He has a good mix of student and teacher and opinion. He does not do all the talking nor does he let the class carry the time. I would recommend very highly.

Wade is a great guy! His class is interesting and fun. Material could have been boring with any other professor BUT him. His class is an open forum for discussions and his tests are straight forward. Would highly recommend him for any class!

Newhouse does make me laugh - mostly from how excited he gets about things that a normal person doesn't (he may be cute, but he is def. a history channel nerd - he'll admit it as much). Even though he can seem scattered at times (for a graduate level class, I guess), his enthusiasm more than makes up for it. This is Wade Newhouse btw, isn't it?

Amazing prof and just an all around great guy. He makes lecture feel more like a open forum for discussion than an actual class. The material is very interesting, especially for war and history buffs. I didn't learn too much from him, but enjoyed every minute anyway.

Mr Newhouse was a great great teacher! It's the first time I ever enjoyed writing and reading and the class was so interesting (vietnam) I def recommend takin a class wit him and the fact that he's cute just adds to it!

Professor Newhouse is BY FAR the best professor at Boston University. He makes the material interesting (even at 8am) and is hysterical! Has taught me alot in terms of writing papers, an I feel that my writing has improved alot.
