LOVED FIFE. He made SCOM so interesting, and easy to understand. Speeches in his class weren't intimidating, and he gives great advice on how to better yourself! He's super adorable and sweet and will make you laugh. TAKE HIM!

Favorite professor I've ever had. He made me absolutely love a public speaking class, which is something I normally hate. He's a super fair grader, the rubrics are detailed, and the tests are fairly easy. And his lectures are fantastic. I also thought he was kind of cute in a goofy way, but that's less important. Loved him, take this class.

Dr. Fife was excellent! Clearly knows his subject matter. He really puts a focus on class discussion, which is a lot more entertaining than lecture. He also gives great feedback on papers, even though there are lots of papers. Would take again!

He is an OK professor but his lectures were long sometimes. The tests were harder than expected and had more textbook info that was not covered in the lectures than I expected. It's important to do the readings but he does give extra credit and he's really understanding about speech grades.

Dr. Fife is a wonderful professor! Such a NICE person, cares a lot about his students and those around him. He is very forgiving and makes the class very simple. He also makes sure you are aware of deadlines at the beginning of every class and makes things very clear. TAKE HIM

He is an amazing professor! I HATE public speaking but he makes it fun. The lectures aren't boring and he makes the class interesting. I enjoyed going to his class and I found that public speaking isn't so bad. In his class, he only records you speaking if you ask him to. Other professors make you watch your speech and critique yourself.

Dr. Fife is delightful! Most classes consisted of PowerPoint review (all of which were online at the beginning of the semester). There are 3 quizzes and 3 speeches (broken down into outlines & bibliographies, as well as the speech itself). Didn't really use the book. He's an easy grader too, which is always a plus. Definitely recommend.

Amazing professor! I hate public speaking more than anything but he is really cool and makes everyone feel relaxed. His tests are a little difficult but he grades the speeches pretty easily. He is definitely my favorite professor this semester! TAKE HIM IF POSSIBLE!

DUDE Professor Eric's the man! I loved this class. Personally i've never been too afraid of public speaking (which you do a lot of in this class), but i could tell that a lot of the other students were. But he was really helpful and made us not fear the speeches and everyones speeches were always good! He's really nice too and never in a bad mood.

Fife was a great professor. He told you exactly what to do so if you don't do well it's your own fault. He tells you what to study for the tests, so study it! The group project is so easy, and he grades it fairly easy. The individual presentation was graded a little harder, just pick something you're interested in, and you'll do fine.

Fife is a great teacher. There are four class tests you have to take and a final exam. The first test I took I got a 60 on and freaked out but he drops the lowest test and the rest of the tests I did pretty good on (A/B). Lectures can be a little boring at times but he puts everything on blackboard so you can print that out.

He was literally the best professor I had all semester!! Definitely take him. He explains almost everything, he grades fairly and doesn't count off if you screw up on speeches. You can definitely tell he loves what he teaches. Plus he shows you pictures of his children all the time!

Fife is so silly.. he's just laidback and really approchable. He uploads ALL his lectures to blackboard. He has a facebook and regularly updates it with pictures of his adorable kids! The class is fine.. standard GCOM but he definitely makes it more bearable and interesting with fun activities.
