Unless you're madly in love with fish and fishing and want to live a fishy life, skip this class. The amount of information they expect you to learn in this class and in lab is outrageous. Small assignments take hours to do.

Really interesting class, wasn't expecting Dr. Schultz to be a good teacher, but he's phenomenal. He's thorough and clear. The class material is interesting.

I studied a lot for this class, I understood what was going on, I participated etc. I felt confident on my performance on tests and exams. But when they were returned he would mark all my questions wrong with no explanation with no interest in helping outside of class or even answering my questions.

This class was hard, but fair. If you really took the time to study (at least 5 hours for the exams) then you will be fine. You can easily earn up to 5 extra credit points added to your exam by going to lecture and answering clicker questions. Many of his lectures were dry and the slides were unorganized. Study the slides not the book

Comment:
Not the most entertaining lecturer, but he is pretty clear. He gives clicker questions in class for up to 5 extra credit points per exam. His exams are mostly very easy and straightforward questions if you study even a small amount, and the lowest of four exams in the course is dropped. Schultz is also very friendly and approachable with questions.

My first D, despite studying every week and neglecting my other classes. Huge range of topics, really hard stuff, unfair quizzes. Just too much information and tests that are so random and specific. Don't take this if you can avoid it.

I found his part of this course to be much easier. His lectures really aren't difficult to follow if you're paying attention. He's a nice guy and I personally liked his teaching.

His slides were extremely hard to follow. He used words and explanations that really didnt make sense. He like to ramble on a tangent at times. His test were really difficult. You must attend lecture because majority of the questions on his test were from what he said aloud versus what was on the powerpoint.

Schultz literally just likes the sound of his own voice. He talks like he's an authority on almost everything when in reality he's a failure at communicating to students prudent information. When this is reflected on exams, he blames students for not studying enough. His teaching style is belittling, and the lecture was torture to sit through.
