Dr Newton is hilarious! classes are not mandatory seeing as its basically a reading course. He tries hard to make the class laugh and he tries to connect with his students. he assigns easy homework (usually a question from each chapter) and many journals based on meditation. i would definitely take another one of his courses if i had the chance

Comment:

A lot of annoying assignments, however, such easy work. While it lectures were impossible to follow, he was funny and tried to make the class enjoyable. However, his humour can be very disrespectful to others belief systems at times. While I didn't particularly enjoy this prof, I would take his classes again.

He is a funny prof. Loves music, however I didn't like the fact that we had to do weekly assignments and submit them online, and even over holidays still have to do the assignments. You have weekly test but there is no final or midterm so it equals out. I recommend him he is an amazing professor and easy to get along with.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Such a funny guy. There wasn't much work required in this course. He basically just talks all class and that's about it. Drop box assignments are easy, as well as the meditation journals. If you don't pass something in on time, no worries just relax and pass it in eventually. Great prof :p

Uhg. Useless assignments. "ERPs" are ridiculous. Gets off topic too quickly. Possible that he has done too much drugs in his day. Tends to spit when he speaks - dont sit in the front row. So unorganized. I dropped this course as I was completely at loss for what was required.

a great professor! funny, nice and approachable. he wants you to come to class so e-mail if you're not going to be there and he'll appreciate that. workload was really great, exams were straight forward and the material was interesting. i'm in nursing and i'm glad i chose this over philosophy.

Great Prof. Not for everyone but if i had a chance to do another religion course i would jump at the chance. He is funny, helpful and interesting. "Do what you do when you are doing it, be where you are when your there". I'll never forget that.
