he is so amazing, i miss him, and when i was an undergrad i took EVERY CLASS THIS GUY OFFERED. I feel sorry for future bio and genetics classes, because they will never get to experience what we did, with a passionate, funny, amazing, prof. i miss u earnest :-(

This semester is Ernest's last, and I consider myself lucky to have had the opportunity to take a class with him. He is passionate about biology and really encourages students to think for themselves. He's like a motivational speaker combined with a great professor. Too bad he isn't around longer so I could take another of his classes.

This was my favorite class in university by far. He gives no notes, but for this class it's not a big deal as it is more about understanding. He does tend to get a little off topic, so I would suggest the 3 hour classes so more is learned. Actually understood what we were doing in lab. Great prof, would take his class again in a heartbeat!

Ernest rocks my world!! I love his classes. He is one of the few profs that generates extreme interest in the subject for me. I go home and study the book just cuz its so interesting. I would strongly reccomend this prof to anyone. Yes he goes off on tangents but thats interesting. U stil learn all the material anyways. No notes but he will repeat

He talks about TOTALLY irrelevant stuff. He spent 20 minutes on people from his high school one class. His lectures are really unstructured and hard to take any interest at all in. I dropped out after only getting 69% on a test -- I retook the course with a different prof and my final grade was 93%!

This man cannot teach. He answers his cell phone during class, goes off on a limb about random subjects that don't have anything to do with our lecture, and he even failed half of the class on the midterm. I do not recommend him as a teacher :(

Absolutely incredible prof. He KNOWS his stuff and isn't afraid to go above and beyond the set cirriculum to lend some insight and keep things interesting. If you've never taken bio with Ernest, you've missed out like you wouldn't believe.
