Professor Agbemenu is one unique teacher. He's a great story teller, and gets his message across with his knowledge. He does get a bit long winded and drags his lectures too long; however, this depends on the topic. He is a tough marker and will give you great feedback.

A great professor! He really knows his stuff. It's obvious he is passionate about his topic and he is very well educated. People who dislike him only do because they did poorly and they only did poorly because they didn't do all they could to really learn. Obviously the class is not impossible if some people get A's! He wants you to take the concepts he's teaching and apply them to life, but it's hard to do because he doesn't give you the necessary tools to do that. You feel like you don't have the knowledge to do this and as a result the tests are difficult. He will omit the questions you don't do well on to mitigate this. He is a nice guy though.

he's a smart guy and seemed pretty nice and tried to be funny, but he's not very clear, i mostly relied on the textbook for my information. the 2 mid terms and a final exam that were okay but you really gotta know you're stuff, he loves detail.

If you want to LEARN and care about learning, this is ur guy! I liked his classes because I was there to learn. he is very knowledgeable and i would definitely take him again if he comes to Douglas. If u r a student who complains about instructors, then STAY AWAY!!...Out of 30 ppl, 9 actually stayed the whole semester and 3 of us got an 'A'. So...

By far the worst teacher I have ever had. He is incomplete and unclear and he will tell you a test is on chapter 3 but it will actually be on chapter 2. He forgets what he has talked about and is not helpful. I tried to ask him about a mark on a test and he couldn't explain himself. He should not be allowed to teach.

I took his course in 1989 and just by chance looked him up on the net today and sure enough, he's doing the same stuff he did with my class. Students self marking exams etc. This guy is black btw and plays the race card as if it were the only one in his deck. Avoid like the plague is all i can say. Dry teaching methods and just plain boring.

Lazy and unmotivated- forgets to come to final exams, or doesn't bring enough exams, makes students mark tests, etc. Assigns a test on three chapters but will only test you on one. Skipped class and put on video to teach us in lieu. What the hell did I pay $300 for, anyway? So this guy can act like teaching his students is the biggest burden ever?

An odd teacher who fits my style wonderfully. Does not baby students, allows for flexibility with assignments. Explains things well and assumes, like me, that students have some level of common sense and a basic understanding of principles. Avoid if you need to be spoon fed. Allows many opprotunities for questions in class.
