If chemistry isn't your thing, he's your guy. He is slower then most the other professors, does homework assignment in class, uses an internet program for homework as well and his tests aren't that hard. He is older, so you may have to have patience, but he is a lot better then the other 161 teachers.

this class is mostly for dental hygiene and nursing majors is really important. mcgoran is the nicest guy ever and he writes everything on the board. all you have to do is go to class and take notes. his tests are pretty easy. way easier than kessling

I wouldnt recommend taking him. He knows what he is teaching but he isnt good at explaining things. He basically just writes stuff on the board(everything he says) and doesnt explain what he is doing. He expects us to magically know. Really nice guy just good thing he is retireing cause he isnt a great teacher

Comment:

McGoran is the classic stereotype of a bumbling professor. He says "Uh" and "Um" almost more than he says anything else, and he loses his train of thought frequently. However, he is really easy and nothing is on the test that isn't what he writes on the board, so that's just peachy. Oh, yes, and did I mention that he allows notes on the tests?

He teaches very well, reviews for labs, and is a sweet guy, very approachable. His tests are very easy in relation to the other chem proffs. I am glad I took these classes from him. Organic Chem is definately his thing.

I think that, not only is this teacher adorable, but he is EASY! This was definitely a simple chem class. Easier than my high school chem. Informative, fun.

Class is very easy. Almost never attended. Do BB homework and take notes on sections he's outlined in the syllabus and you're cherry. He'll let you make up a lab if you miss it by writing a 2pg paper. Mine were very lame. Still got full credit. Easy A for someone with NO chem background.

This class is the easiest class ever. As long as you come to class everyday and do the BB hmwk, you'll breeze through and get an A. He even lets you have notes during the test! Dr. McGoran is a very nice guy. This is seriously the easiest class anyone can take.

This class is quite easy, if you do the homework online the weekly tests are a breeze. Labs are also no problem. My view might be biased, as this is an introductory-type course and I have some chem background, but overall I think his class is bombskeezle.
