Class is not for you if you can't take a joke. However if you can, she is amazing! I had not ridden a horse in in 7 years prior to riding. By the time I took two semesters, I was almost as good as I left horse back riding. Even if you are a beginner, she is very quick to teach you. However, it is demanding but doable.

If you're looking for an easy 1 hour credit take yoga, this isn't for you. But if you really want to learn to ride and you have the drive then you will love this class like i do! janet is an amazing instructor who will teach you exactly what you need to know and i was a beginner when i started and she has been amazing for the past year.

AMAZING instructor. I've learned so much from her so far this semester. She really knows her stuff so I can see how the class could be difficult for beginners. She will be tough on you but really praises you when you get things right. I've been riding for 9 years and she's the best instructor I've had. I'm definitely taking her class next semester

I LOVE Janet!! She will explain anything if you don't understand. Just make sure you ask her: otherwise she will assume you know it. I love her so much and she has helped me so much that I am moving my horses down to her barn

Knows her stuff, but becomes rude and impatient with beginners. If you've never ridden before, avoid her like the plague!! She constantly criticizes beginners for their mistakes, but rarely explains what to do to make corrections. I would recommend a beginner look around at the various riding schools available all around Columbia instead.

I loved this class! I have been riding for years, and was worried about where I would ride in college. I took this class and it was just what i needed. Her classes are fun but she is also very firm about position, which is good for me. Even if you aren't as experienced, I think if you gave it a shot you'd have fun and learn a lot with this class.
