Very good teacher. Though he lacks in the personality department, he gets the info too you clearly. Take it during summer session and he lets you use your notes on the tests!

He always explains everything very clearly and never assumes that you already know everything. His accent isn't a problem at all b/c you can understand him perfectly well. For all those people who complain about him having an accent: this is America! get used to it! Funny how those ppl who said he sucks took "business" calculus, that says a lot!

Dr. Hu is a very thorough instructor who almost reteaches everything you are supposed to know from your prereqs. I really don't understand all the negative comments here, I am not Chinese and I understood him fine. He show every step of his calculations in an organzied and clear manner. Maybe the class is just hard, not his fault.

Tests are pretty easy. Lots of hwk though with no review. Often says incorrect thing like "train rule" and he wrote it on the board like that. No one corrected him either. Seems pretty nice though. If you do the hwk you should do ok in the class just get the solution guide makes things easier. There is no real point in going to class.

This is the WORST MATH PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER HAD! He gives you tons of problems but no instruction on how to do them. I am withdrawing because he sucks at teaching. He is very nice, but SO HARD to understand. Take Chinese, then his class and you might pass!

Very hard to understand both because of his accent and his teaching methods. He doesnt exactly explain what he is doing. Most of the time it takes serious research and reading to understand 1/8 of what he is talking about.

He difinitely knows his calculus, but sometimes his accent is a little hard to understand. He's always willing to offer extra help, but YOU have to ask him. The tests are pretty easy and he covers everything that's going to be on them. He tells you all the topics that will be on the test a week before....I went 2 sleep n class I still got a B+
