Lecture was a bit dry (1/week, 2hrs) and the class itself wasn't bad. I came to class, hoped on my laptop played games, participated here and there, took quizzes (every 1/2 chap.) and tests (2 essays and a final) and ended with a B. What helped even though I did the minimum, was her availability outside class. She does require www.turnitin.com.

I get so bored, I sometimes count how many times I blink in an hour. If you can get through the ridiculously long boring lecture you will be alright. I'd recommend learning how to knit or crochet just to get through her class.

Such a nice woman. Her assignments are difficult and she is a difficult grader, but if you meet with her about stuff you will do much better. She makes herself available all the time. She gives you questions that could be on the 2 exams and picks from them. Also, two essays and the occasional quiz. Definitely recommended Kruse-Alexander.

She has an interesting teaching style. It is very disorganized and never follows the syllabus! She is a very hard grader. She expects you to know things that she didn't even discuss. She was extremely helpful in office hours and even making time outside of her hours.

Dr. Kruse is one of the most spastic profs I've had, which makes for an entertaining class. She tends to explain things over and over, which is good on one hand but boring on the other. She's a fairly easy grader if you get the basic ideas across, and although she takes forever to return papers, I found her to be engaging. Good professor overall.

She's an ok teacher. Like any other class, the amount of time you dedicate to it, the better you always do. So in reality, if you are interested in everything but school, expect a B if you do some work and talk in class or if you do the minimum she gives out C's. Can be boring and then sometimes interesting. She's all over the place. Not the worst class I have taken at XU and it won't hurt to take it if all you want to do is pass.

If you like waiting 6-8 weeks to get a paper or exam back, then this is the professor to take. She is confusing most of the time, and also didn't help much when I went to visit her in her office. Tough grader, class lectures are boring, and readings were impossible to understand. I read, study for hours, and asked her for help and still got a C.

She's very energetic and happy, clearly loves to teach philosophy. Problems returing papers...just count on not getting them back before your next paper/test comes around. Makes it difficult to focus your studying. Good with answering e-mails. Little rough on grading.
