The course was a complete waste of time. The first half was him simply reciting the sources. If you like writing in-depth essays every two weeks, after reading 4 sources this is for you. Be warned that there is absolutely no marking scheme that he adheres to.

He wasn't helpful. I went to him for clarifications on what he said because I have trouble hearing and he got annoyed. Didn't want to repeat himself. I'm sorry but if you have a thick accent and your student has trouble hearing suck it up because you need to help the student who is paying. He was rude and unhelpful.

Absolutley pointless class. The first half of the class was dedicated to the five major themes of twentieth century history, and he incoherantly covered the VERY basic elements of each. The second half was dedicated to a large group project that was very poorly outlined, nothing was learned, and feedback was useless. Good guy, bad teacher.

He is a very knowledgable man, but his course is very unorganized. I found that he was also unable to give us clear instructions for our final project. I was very interested in the material, but I unfortunately found I did not get as much out of this course as I could have.

The accent makes it hard to understand, my dad is a prof at another university and i know at his profs deemed hard to understand are given lessons to make them speak clearer, Kolapo needs these. Nice guy, good class though a little choatic.

He is very hard to understand, because of his accent. I found going to class was very unnecessary. The course was easy in the end, but it made you panic throughout, because you had no idea what was expected of you as a student. Unclear teaching habits, very nice teacher, very lenient and understanding. Needs to be more oraganized with his outlines!

This course was very easy. As long as you stayed on top of the weekly assignments and wrote a half decent essay you'd get a good mark. Not to mention, he pretty much told us all of the exam questions ahead of time. All you had to do was memorize a few things and you did well.

Very unclear. got assignment marks back the day before the exam which is no fun if yo do terrible on them for some reason. Hard to contact. His exam is kind of crazy because we have had no previous testing and therefore no precedent. Not too mention its like writing a short novel. NO good.

Not a single mark back before the drop date -- or NOW for that matter - hard to tell how you're doing in the course. Boring, but a history in the 7-10 slot is bound to make you fall asleep. Weekly assignments keep you on top of your game but make it a bad choice for an elective (aka. easy and not time consuming) BUT he's a kind man.

Found him to be not very helpful and pretty unclear about his assignments. If it weren't for the TA who was really helpful and approachable, I probably wouldn't have stayed in the course. She's easy on the eyes too :)
