Great prof.! Very helpful outside of class and really takes an interest in your life. Doesn't let liberal views affect grading, and allows all viewpoints to be heard. Definitely recommend for a good learning experience!

Fletch was a nice guy but his class was very boring and he rambles a lot. He pushed his views during his class a lot through his lectures which ended up getting annoying sometimes.

Comment:

McClellan isn't a bad guy, but he can be very boring and random in his lectures. He doesn't always cover what is on the tests, but he grades considerably hard. Compared to some of the other first-year seminars, the best advice would be not to take this one... it involves a lot more reading and work than most others.

Comment:

A great instructor who shows a real concern for the well-being of students and the class as a whole. It is a great seminar that I would recommend to any first-yera student at E-Town. I benefited very much from the conference on Political Self-Determination. It is not hard to earn an A, if you work for it.

He really tries to dumb-down the books that he makes you read.He grades too hard on the tests given the little information he teaches.And he doesn't know the difference between Hutu andTutsie.Also, he pushes his liberal views through his teaching and chosen books.If I were you, don't take his class. You'll know the same before and after the class.

Ah yes! Fletcher McClellan. He can be helpful but also boring. As all Poli Sci professors are, they make you write very hard papers. If you must have a Poli Sci class, he is probably the easiest.
