A note taking kind of class. Bring your computer and act like youre taking notes, but you dont really have to because he posts everything online anyways. The tests are hard and hes surprisingly brutal when it comes to grading, especially the few papers you have to write. He never gives any homework though!

I got a C on my first of 3 papers and ended up with an A in the class. You have to write alot of detail and analyze the history which is hard because he only shows movies during class. He always made jokes during class and spoke his mind. He teaches alot about religion. 3 in class essays and 1 out of class essay make up your grade

Well...he's a very easy professor as far as grading goes. You can go the whole semester without cracking the book once and as long as you show up and take a few notes you're good to go. Now the bad...he basically uses the class as a forum to preach his beliefs and opinions and consistantly strays from the course material.

Don't take this professor. It's the worst class his lectures are hard to understand and do not really relate to the course material. He uses his class as a forum for his own political beliefs and shows movies every class instead of teaching. His grading is very arbitrary and doesn't leave comments. You only have two papers and a final exam.

This teacher is awful. He is old and slow and has the most boring lectures ever. I would never take him again, his class consists of 3 essay tests, and he teaches you absolutely nothing. The book is terrible, I would STRONGLY reccomend never taking this old man.

I took him for two class, HS 101 and 102, found him to be an awesome teacher. You watch a nice amount of videos and just gotta listen and take some notes. I actually hate history and did well in his class. And if you other guys/girls think hes the hardest grader you've gotten, your in for a rough road.

I have never gotten a final grade below a C in my life. I got my first D+ in this class. KILLED my GPA! There are 3 one-question tests that make up YOUR WHOLE GRADE. He rarely takes attendance, there is no syllabus, no one has any clue what is going on. No defined assignments. He talks about unrelated topics and shows boring videos the whole time.

Dooley was definitely the hardest grader I have ever experienced. Some people like him, but most people I know have a lot of trouble in his class. Class itself is easy -- just show up and he lectures. He only had two tests and the final though, and they were all essay. This is not an easy class. It requires ALOT of reading and paying attention.
