Class is interesting n going well. It's sometimes hard to take a class when technical problems arise or when you don't understand something but this Professor gets back to you quickly and is helpful in steering you in the right direction. Clearly states what needs to be done in either discussions or in the syllabus and even drops your lowest grade.

Comment:

One of the best Professors. Took his class before. Taking West. Civ II 1648-1914 this time. He makes it interesting and pretty engaging, for an online class, and for history. The discussion questions are okay but wish blackboard was more student friendly to navigate. Professor gets back to you in a very timely manner.

Do the discussions and tests every two weeks and you're fine. Course is a breeze. Skim the textbook and take minor notes to get a guaranteed B. If you were good at American History and Government high school this course is even easier, since most questions were previous questions on APs.

Discussion topics are engaging, but the online format does not involve any instructor participation, and that can be a critical component to learning. Test questions are challenging, so you will have to do the reading and study the material. Always follow the rubric for assignments!! As with most online courses, be prepared to work. Great class.

Does not like you to disagree with him. He is always right. I took offense that during WW2 discussion he referred to Nazis as "all Germans." I got a B+ even though I had 107 on my first exam, 101 on midterm and 99 on final. (Highest grades in class.) However, he stated my "participation" was negative. Watch out for this professor, very closed-mind

I had him for my first online course in history 102a and also in Intro to international politics before. He is one of the professors that you really want to have over and over. In person he is very expressive so his lectures are like listening to a story and online he is very straightforward. Just keep up with the class and participate,u'll be ok!

I had him for government/US history... didn't do so well on tests (all on blackboard)but I participated the most in my class so I ended up with a 96 in the class. Final exam is OPEN BOOK and you are allowed 6 absences. Sweetest guy ever

Prof Fato is by fare one of the best teacher at Suny Westchester. The online class was really easy, and the work was do able, and the quizes werent that hard.
