Comment:

Professor Farless is a GREAT professor! Her lectures can drag, but they are important because you have to use the info given in your papers. Anyone who says she's tough or didn't pass, didn't go to class or take the class seriously. Go to her office hours before papers are do because she will tell u exactly what she wants. Best professor I've had!

Comment:

I would not say that this class was easy, I took the accelerated course online. There are 2 papers, 2 tests, 1 or 2 quizzes per week per chapter, 5 online journals & 1 extra credit opportunity. She was really helpful although strict about deadlines. I actually enjoyed her content modules. If you are self proficient and organized you will get an A.

I learned a lot in this class, but I had to be extremely disciplined. The textbook is the class- read a chapter a week and take a quiz. There were two papers. I wish it had been more hands on. The quizzes were hard, but you get two attempts. I think she had a hard time changing textbooks, she assigned work for the old one several times.

This is only my second day for her online class for US History 1877 to present. She told us to buy the wrong textbook in the syllabus. Since I always buy used on Amazon this forced me to have to buy two different text books since she didn't tell us the mistake until the 2nd day of class. I'm very upset about this. I don't have money to throw away.

Horrible online gives you 2 to 3 chapter quizzes a week - yes they are only 11 questions and you have 2 chances to take them, but she changes the questions each time so you have no idea what to study for and cant see what you missed til the end of both. lots of reading. doesn't help students with disabilities like she is supposed to. nice though.

I took her AMH 2010 ONLINE class and it was excellent. You MUST keep on top of the reading but you can get done everything you need to do for the week in a couple hours. If you can't force yourself to work, then you will struggle. But if you stick to a schedule, you'll definitely pass. LOVED her! Very sweet and helpful. Easy quizzes & tests.

i took this class online it was horrible it was the worst mistake ever. it was a lot of work a lot of reading i recommend you take this class on campus maybe it would be more interesting. but the teacher seemed like a nice woman

Pro is workin on her Ph.D. on Am. Hist. so you'll learn a lot as long as you read and are able to keep up with lectures - recommend a recorder or typing in class. She is an awesome teach, very passionate. Great class for history, anthro, women studies majors - work intensive without hand holding. You need to be self disciplined/reading ahead

i took her tues 7-945pm class. this was the worse class, all she did was talk and lecture for 3 HOURS!! if you do better with more interaction she is NOT the professor to take. its suppose to be a history class but she grades EXTREMELY hard on the essays she gives you..i dropped the class i couldnt take her boring lectures..nice lady though

Professor Farless is the best professor I've had. History is definitely her passion. There is a ton of reading, two essays and the rest are online quizzes. She's a fair grader and will answer any questions you may have. I wish she taught Western Civilization. The best!

Funny and interesting but I signed up for an inclassroom course that all work was online... Loves what she does and it shows- history is her passion. Discussions were interesting but annoying pwrpoints and lectures were long. Print out the pwrpt lectures off her site and you can follow along easier, just fix the spacing and grmmer issues on them :)

Ms. Farless was extremely helpful. She is very knowledgeable and love what she does, which makes the lessons more enjoyable. The quizzes are a little difficult but very helpful in the finals and midterm. Do the quizzes!!!

Awesome teacher,she is fair and you will learn ALOT from her. Its not a hard class if keep up with the reading and assignments, show genuine interest in the subject matter and show up for class. Seriously people she is a great teacher who is passionate about history and you would be foolish not to sign up for at least one of her classes.

At first I wasn't sure about the class because of all the reading required and trying to absorb it all, but she is very knowledgeable and wants you to learn. She is very nice as well as helpful. Her class requires a lot of time and work, but if you apply yourself you can do well in the class. Just come to class PREPARED!
