I took BUS 312 with Professor. Freda. She gave us lectures that are informative and very practical that we can apply to real world. Even though she was sometimes late for her lectures (NOT ALWAYS AS OTHERS MENTIONED), I loved her lectures and her enthusiasm towards all of her lectures. If you do all hw and attend classes, you will do well !

HORRIBLE PROF! She was late for every class. 20 min late for the midterm. 2 hours late for the final exam. Lectures were uninformative. Didnt explain anything in depth. DO NOT TAKE ANY CLASSES WITH HER!

Comment:

She came 20 minutes late to every class and was always complaining that we are behind. Her notes consist of summarizing the textbook and her writing was beyond messy. Quiz 1 was incorrect, a student sent quiz to the finance department & they said it is unsolvable. She came late to both the midterm by 15 mins & final by 1.5 hours. STAY AWAY!

The final exam was supposed to start at 12pm. It is currently 1:20pm. Freda isn't here yet and the exam hasn't started. Absolutely no word on what is happening and it's a 50% final exam. Says a lot about how the prof is I believe.

She was an hour and a half late for the final, rushes through the notes, saying "this is common sense I need to move on, there's no time" yet she comes 15 minutes late to every class, and that's being generous. She only hand writes her notes with her terrible writing. Most disorganized class I've ever been in. DO NOT TAKE!

It's 30 mins into lecture and she still hasn't shown up. She is late for every lecture, and then blames the class for being behind. Her lectures consist of rewriting the textbook in note form rather than actually working through relevant problems.

Not helpful at all. She uses another prof's textbook, assignment questions, and practice quiz yet she told us that she had a different style of testing anyways. She doesn't give the right formulas for assignments yet says the class material is super easy. She shows up late to class and then says we're behind in learning the material.

Her attitudes to students are sometimes very insulting when you have questions to ask her. Personally I do not recommend to take her classes. Her hand writing is also very hard to read sometimes.

She tells a loooot of stories about her life and theyre quite entertaining :P At first i thought she was terrible because i wasn't processing any info that she taught in class, but after acing the first test, i realized she actually taught me a lot. Now after completing her class i would recommend her to anybody!

Freda is one of the best teachers I've ever had! I took her Micro class in Kwantlen and I loved it. I took this economic class as an elective and now Im so into economics. She makes her class a fun environment and she makes an extraordinary management of her time. I totally recomend her :D

The very beginning of this course is easy, but as this course progresses, it does get harder. Basically, if you have forgotten what you have learned in Bus 316, you will need to put in the extra effort to do well in this course. This is a difficult course so you need to study hard. Her quizzes are easy, her tests are difficult, so look out!

basically, you have no idea about what she writes in the class notes;(extremely poor hand writing!) so you can easily get distressful, however finally when you figure it out, it is totally/almost bull****!(make easy stuffs complicated!) not a good prof in explaining anything! very poor attitude to students, not reasonable in exam marking!

Freda is absolutely useless as a professor. The amount of note taking is absurd. She has little knowledge in the subjects she teaches so don't expect any of your intuitive questions answered correctly or with any degree of common sense. She frequently cancels classes due to petty illnesses and will deny extra office hours. Avoid this prof.

A true rose among shrubs; Ms. Sumeke's class was informative, comprehensible, and (more than most hoped) very quantitive - atleast by Econ 200 levels. If you embrace the class and its professor, you will be better educated and more appreciative than you initially thought possible. There are no free rides: you will only receive as much as you give.
