This class is really easy. All online and you can finish all the assignments in literally a day or two. Do the extra for the fun of it since the assignments are extremely easy. You don't need to pay attention at all to get an A. The exams are all online, just google search them and you'll find them on quizlet. Overall, easy class.

This class was all online. Quizzes were on McGraw hill connect. You have to listen to some music selections but I just turned my volume off and let it play. At the end of each month or like 3 or 4 weeks is the exam for the Section. There are 6 sections. All questions are on quizlet. You will get an A in this class. Easy A for general ed area C

EXTREMELY funny Professor. He loves being sarcastic and would always tell life lessons, which I enjoyed, as a break from learning the course material. Very helpful throughout the course and would give you the easy tips that aren't in the books to help you in class.

Mr. Dilworth insistently calls on people in the back row, sit in the front if you want to be left alone. He will tell you that you are not smart if you do not know the answers to his unclear questions and will compare your class to classes in the past insisting his past classes were so much better & how the bar for education has been lowered.

He is jerk! He picks on people whom obviously don't know what they're doing and it belittling and embarrassing for the students. If you don't know what you're doing be prepared to have anxiety throughout the whole class. If you know you're going to practice and not slack off take this class. If you thrive on procrastination skip it!

Fun class, 3 mult. choice exams and 3 playing exams. Easy grader, put in effort and you will get no lower than a B. All exams are out of 30. Show up on time, locks doors about 5min after start of class. Cool guy, laid back. Tells lots of funny stories.

You should probably go to class every time because, you get points. All of his tests & final is worth 30 points. They vary from playing the recorder to theory. Always come on time because he tends to lock the doors on students coming in late. If you do take the class, make sure to practice playing your recorder because its easy points on the quiz.

Not a very good teacher if you have no music expertise. Attendance is IMPORTANT! He will lock you out even if you are a minute late. He says study 20-30 minutes a day to keep up, STUDY at least 3 hours, 20-30 is NOT enough! He picks on students A LOT which makes half the class nervous to even volunteer. Overall just be sure you attend and study!

Don't be late. This class should be called Life Lessons 101, he teaches about life more than music. He goes off about how ashamed he is of California today. If you don't know something you are frowned upon. Practice a lot or you will not pass the class. But its an easy class, especially if you know about reading music.

Gary Dilworth almost caused me to leave music = something I am very passionate about. It has been some time since I studied with him and now I am playing professionally. But, as I look back, I get angry. I think he does not realize his limitations as a musician == yet he has been a faculty member at the university for years.

So he mostly teaches "life lessons" in his class, the other half of the class is spent actually practicing. Don't be late and if you don't practice you will not pass. Overall his is an okay teacher, if you know absolutely nothing about reading music prior to entering this class it may be a little hard.

Did show up on 1rst day of class yet he doesn't allow people to be late. Called us cattle. Would rather teach 4th grade he says be my guest. music 8 is a NON MUSIC MAJORS course. He expected us to know how to play the recorder on the third day (keep in mind he was absent the first day). Awful professor. Do avoid.
