Grade was made up of two quizzes, two tests, and a final. He was very good at explaining the material and was very easy on grading. The first part of the class was fairly simple but the second part required a lot more effort. Lectures were a big help with the more difficult topics, as was the book.

Great professor! The material was difficult but he took his time trying to make sure he gave us enough examples to do the homework. The homework was beneficial but sometimes he gave us problems that were too time consuming. Overall would definitely take again for future courses.

He was alright dont take if you are going to do the homework for no credit expects you to do well on the quiz no study guide. Had a hard time understanding the lectures writing all lot of nonsense . All you have to do the homework and study for midterms and final from the quizzes and the whole chapter. Did not have that much of fun in class.

Calc is hard man i failed the first time but passed it this time. I liked this guy, he taught it fairly simple and showed the steps i learned so much. Made me like math again after it failed it the first time. make sure you do your HW and do good on the weekly tests. He offers xtra cred to write a bio of a mathmatician, super simple so do it!

Dr. Griffing gives crystal clear explanations. I walk out of lectures understanding the material 99% of the time. Homework and lecture examples show up on the quiz. Do your homework, put in some time for studying, shouldn't have a problem passing his class. He goes the extra mile for homework questions and goes at a very good pace.

Griffing is a great professor, definitely knows what he is talking about and will go the extra mile to help. Quiz every week, 2 midterms, and a final. Overall class moved quickly but the material was not hard. Griffing made it very easy to understand the concepts and larger ideas.

I'm currently taking him. He does assign homework just about every day, although he doesn't collect it, I recommend doing it because you can ask questions about it the next day. And the quizzes are very similar to homework! He goes over everything until you understand. Definitely recommend him.

Dr. Griffing is not arrogant or conceded like most professors. Easily approachable, and if you don't understand something or if you have a question you can ask for help and he will help you until you understand. One of the best professors at CSUSB. Highly recommended. If you have a chance to take this professor class, Take It!

I had Gary for Trig, Calc I and Calc II. I sure wish he taught Calc III! He is an excellent teacher, good sense of humor, but dosen't tolerate nonsense in the classroom. Weekly quizzes to make sure you're on the ball and the midterms are strikingly similar to his quizzes! He writes all his exams so like a previous review said, no tr

Great professor! He explained things perfectly. I would definitely take him again. He goes a bit fast if he thinks everyone understands the material, but he will definitely stop to further explain things. Just ask him questions! I love that he gets excited about math, although that may cause him to go off tangent every now and then...

Great professor! He goes over everything very thoroughly and goes over any questions you have on the homework. The quizzes and tests he writes himself so there are no trick questions. He knows what he is talking about and does a very good job teaching the class. Sometime he says some corny jokes but overall he is great!
