The Biology class I took was team taught: Dr. Miller (who was great) for half the semester, Dr. Lindquester for the other half. As soon as he started teaching the class, my grades drastically dropped. I even got tutor but continued failing tests. I normally would not blame a teacher for my bad grade but in this case, DON'T TAKE HIM.

Interesting class, but professor is insensitive. Tests are not difficult, but professor grades extremely hard. It's either perfect or wrong. Heartless professor who has more interest in his own life than the life of others.

Interesting class, not the best teacher-- good when he lectures, which is not often. Take this class if you like group work and teaching each other. Does not seem to be in his office much. Ask questions and he will clarify. Read textbook to supplement your understanding.

Comment:

Classes were boring because his lectures were somewhat difficult to follow, even with the power point. The exam tended to be the most confusing for me of all four professors, as well as on the final. I think he and I did not connect, but that is neither my fault, nor his. Power points are helpful study tools, though.

I'd heard he was tough going into the class but I was wrong. I memorized the powerpoints right before each test and ended up with a B+. Biology at Rhodes has never been this easy. Lab is also really easy, especially if you've taken cell lab. Maybe difficult if you've only taken evolution but EASY if you've taken cell or animal phys.

Not a great teacher. Study a week in advance. Memorize exactly the powerpoints. Weird grader - gives credit for things you shouldn't get and takes away for things answered well. More interested in getting home to be with his family than in being a good professor.

lindquester is very open to meeting with his students to help, but arrogantly and indirectly answers questions. he is also a very difficult grader. i feel like i did not learn very much in this class. don't take him for labs.

He's tough. He's sorta nerdy. But he is a good teacher, and if you approach him with the right questions he can be quite helpful. His tests are tough, I guess, but I still learned quite a bit from his class.

He teaches things at a great level for a topics class. We non-science majors can understand what's going on, if you take the class just a little bit seriously (again, it's topics). He is also very knowledgable, and soft-spoken!
