Hard Work pays off, History is my weakest subject but i managed to get an A with hardwork. If one does all their assignements on time and READS feedback on papers you should get an A. Turns out i didnt need this classt because im trying to get used to the TDA. I already have this GE fulfilled from highschool lol.

She's very rude and aggressive. It was hard to focus on the lectures because of her personal style.

Too much work, as everyone else has stated. The only good thing was that the professor graded the assignments very quickly and gave a lot of comments. It wasn't necessarily difficult to get a good grade (I got an A), however, it was a very stressful semester with this class, I would not recommend it.

I didn't listen to the reviews and took her anyway. I finished the class with a strong A, but honestly I'd rather have gotten a B with any other professor. This class is ridiculous for a 100 level class, expects too much. She'll give you a question that you need to answer factually, then call it an info dump. Unless you LOVE the subject, don't take

Get ready to do a whole lot of reading and a ton of essays. You have about 12 papers for this class plus discussion boards do every week. If you are taking an online class like I was because you do not have enough time in your schedule DO NOT take this class with a heavy course load. I got a B in the class but you really have to go above and beyond

Took this 5 week class this summer. DO NOT TAKE if you work a lot of hours or if you have a busy schedule. There is a lot of work involved. That being said I did the bare minimum for this class and received an A-. She is a tough grader so do all the other work to compensate for the midterm and final papers. BOOK IS NECESSARY TO PASS. GET IT.

Do not take this class!!!! The amount of work assigned for this class is ridiculous! Expect to write a lot and most likely get anything but an A. She is an EXTREMELY hard grader. The Titanium page for this class is a very confusing jumbled mess. This class is worse than any biology core class I have taken.

Exams are 3 essays. She opened them up on a Thursday & would be due by Sunday. Some were a bit tough but she is an easy grader. I didn't try my hardest on a few but still managed to get good grades on them. Make sure to cite for discussion boards and exams! (Simply state page numbers) Overall a good class, I recommend her.

Midterm, Final, and 1 Research Paper. (undergrad) She will go over your rough draft of your research paper. Dr. Brunelle knows her stuff and she is very clear on what she wants. She wants you to answer her questions fully and explain yourself. Do not take if you hate to read or write. If you are a history major, her classes will help you be better.

This is the worst class I have ever taken. The teacher is high maintenance beyond belief. You have a discussion post each week and then you have to reply to four other students on THREE different days. Harsh grader. Her TITANium site is disorganized beyond belief. The work load is out of control. Highly recommend NOT taking this class.

Put in the work, you will get the grade. This was an amazing experience with lots of side stories and clear cut. If the class could not get what she wanted us to look at she would point us in the right direction. She wants class participation she does not want to lecture you. Exams and Written papers need to be professionally written at this level.

Dr. Brunelle is tough but she is clear on what she wants There is 5 discussion's post, 4 primary source essay response, films, power points, two midterms and a Final. Each test consist of 3 essay response. As long as you read and keep up to date with assignments you can pass. Revise your papers with turnitin.

She is helpful and clear with her expectations. You can call her with any questions and she will gladly answer. I took the course online over the summer in 5 weeks, with the same amount of work that students have in the normal semester-long course. Yup, A LOT of writing. But, I learned a lot, I had fun with it, and I got a good grade.

Would never take this professor again!!! This was a G.E course and was tougher than my upper division courses. Theres 10 discussion post due each week and an extra 4 responses to other student's post. 5 primary sources due and two midterms and a final. Each midterm had three essay questions to complete. THIS CLASS SUCKED.

Quizzes are difficult (5 terms chosen out of about 30 you have to know), tests are 2 essays (4 options out of about 15 questions), she says we have to read the book to pass, but there are ways around it (depending on learning style), lectures are long, boring & unorganized, passable class if you study hard and can self teachmemorize

The only way I can describe her teaching is... She speaks in never ending sentences which will annoy the hell out of you... Constantly changing the pitch in her voice to sound almost like a bird. I recommend just reading on time and learning the vocabulary right from the beginning to avoid her annoying lectures that don't make any sense...

Took the online course this summer - a lot of work for a GE. discussion board (your response, plus 4 response to other students' post) every week; a paper (500-750 words) every week; 2 exams (choose 4 of the 5 questions and answer in essay form - every answer a minimum of 600 words). hard grading on paper & exam. I don't recommend this professor!

Do not take her! The work load is out of control. Grading is 100% subjective. Ton of writing. Contradicts herself. Critical of student responses. Online class consists of discussion boards (4x5%), short papers (4x%5), midterm and final papers (2x30%). both of my papers turned out to be 13 pages each. Seriously, don't take her online class.

She was so disorganized and the syllabus and schedules were confusing and often contradicted each other. When she would say she post something on a certain date, it wouldn’t be posted or there would be flaws in the assignment that needed to be fixed. Overall I could not stand her way of teaching. I would not recommend taking her at all.

I'm a grad student, but don't let that bias your opinion of my review. Dr. Brunelle is one of the most helpful professors I've had. I could see how an undergrad with no ambition to actually get anything out of college would dislike her. If you're at CSUF to learn, challenge yourself, and become a better student - take her. Work hard, ask questions.
