He is brilliant!!! Smartest. Really knows his stuff. Humorous. Give all the pass MT FINAL questions. Provide formula pages on course webpage. Even choice of philosophy or calculation question at FINAL!! Gives practical knowledge instead of only pure theories. Lectures finish early and he runs sooo fast after every lecture. Super recommend!!

Geoffrey is undoubtedly smart and nice; however, the stuff that he teaches is not useful at all. He mostly teaches about the history and theories that are difficult but not practical. Exams are annoying as he only gives essay type of questions and difficult math questions. He doesn't really teach us about how to analyze securities. Don't recommend

Very smart prof who will introduce you to financial engineering. Math is hard, but MT and final are easy if you listen and take notes in class (ALL answers are given in class). Free participation marks if you hand in all trades and math pretest. Presentation was easy and he tells you his expectations. Nice to students. Overall a great prof!

Very Knowledgeable, but he is way too smart. He confuses the class and is very unclear about what he is saying. He tells you that you will learn this and that and in the end you learn nothing in the lectures. Read the book to understand what's happening and try to keep BUS 316 and calculus notes with you!

Teaching styling isn't structured & hard to follow. He explains a lot of math that isn't needed in exams. MT is take home (strongly advise you to use the txtbook not lecture notes). 2nd half of class is group pre. Final based on preMT and group pre. results. Strongly advise u to follow txtbook instead of trying to understand his lectures.

Well, he's the only one teaching security analysis. He also wrote the textbook, which I found hard to read. First half of the class - prof's lectures on bonds, and lots of math. Second half of the class - students' presentations on stocks, and investment philosophies. Lots of work for this class so start your term paper early.

He's a great teacher, I love stocks so I love hearing him rant about stocks and philosophies. Really ask him specific questions and how to do them. I would recommend to start early and ask how to do past midterm problems. However, I've had some friends who didn't like him because he can get off topic. Overall, I'd recommend him to you. Cheers

Not easy stuff, you have to pay attention to what he says in class. Write down everything he says and ask lots of questions. He gives you the exam questions in class and lets you ask questions about them, ASK ABOUT EACH QUESTION THAT ISN'T CLEAR, HE WILL EXPLAIN HOW TO ANSWER IT! Individual project was fun and group project was easy.

This prof is a genius - the most intense brain during my four years at school. A math whiz who applies rocket science to study fixed income securities. Understands the limitations of math when dealing with equities - frequently disses modern portfolio theory.
