Very hard midterm exams only to curve them later. don't take him if you like to have tests that reflect your marks avoiding angst. He is a teacher that would not be good for people that worry about marks as they are all curved and you wont know what you have till its all over. He will brag about tenure and his lack of accountability to anybody

I've had this proff before and it is frustrating to guess what your make will be. There is not collation between prep and exam marks because you never know if the test will be so unreasonable that a mark will have a se is curve, While I enjoyed the prof I avoid his classes because of the lack of consistency with exam expectations. Its not worth it,

George is worth his weight in gold! Wonderful professor, great teacher, and all around a great guy. He has this special talent of 'speaking math' so it's understandable. No surprises on tests. I didn't crack my textbook more than twice each semester.

He is one of the few professors that I will willingly and happily go to class at 8:30 for. He makes me actually enjoy university-level calculus.

Best Prof ever! This course is tough but he makes it doable and interesting! Math went from my least favorite to my favorite class because of him. He keeps the class laughing with his stories and funny noises he makes. In lectures he describes what you need to know for tests. I hardly used the textbook, his examples and lectures were plenty.

This Prof is amazing if you study well in his class. Assignments are super long and make you learn so don't be lazy and do them. His tests are fair if you study hard but B part is always bad. Attend class coz i learned mostly by attending and listening to him, his A part in test had similar questions from class examples. he never replies to emails

Patrick is the best math teacher I have ever had. He has a thorough understanding of calculus and explains things with humor and good accurate examples. I have not talked to a single person who doesn't think he is the best teacher ever.

He was the very best math proff. He could keep you interested in even the driest material. His class was still very hard but passable if you worked hard. Would not take a math class with a different proff.

I've taken a large number of math classes and i found Patrick by far the best! He is a little goofy but he makes class fun and his passion for math is evident in his teachings. By far the best math Prof I've had. Would not take a math class without him teaching it.

This is my fifth math class, and by far George Patrick is the best math professor at the U of S. If math is not your strongest subject, George has a teaching style that will help. He repeats key fundamental concepts until you know them. I emailed him on many occasions with questions, and he responded within a couple of hours every time.

The best prof in the math department for sure. Although that's not saying much. The midterms were very difficult but he is the best you have to work with from the math department. Overall, he is a fairly decent prof. If he was teaching a subject other than math he would probably be liked a lot more.

Very hard to follow. His examples are always very difficult to understand. Seems like he spends more time giggling at himself than teaching. Some people were able to learn from him but I was not. I left each lecture more confused than when I came

As a lecturer, he's wonderful. Very helpful and clear. As a coordinator and creator of Assignments (especially) and tests, he is a nightmare to be avoided if possible. He uses Matlab to generate unique assignments for everyone, and expects us to complete multiple choice assignments with every number having several decimals without online aids.

Very good professor. Most professors are foreign in the University so it is refreshing to have someone who speaks perfect english and is easy to learn from. If you can get into his class do it.
