Susan truly inspired me during my time in her class. She does show up late to class but only by a few minutes, so who cares. We have all been late before. Very nice and understanding. She values participation, so get ready to raise your hand. Not a lot of homework but you need to study. Very easy going.

In addition to teaching about youth justice, Susan Reid has shown warmth, compassion, understanding, and welcomeness to me. Learning from her has been inspiring, she wants her students to do well. This course has allowed me to flourish rather than causing excessive stress and anxiety. She is highly specialized in thiscourse. Debate topics hard tho

Susan Reid is the kind of professor that can change feelings of dread towards school/tests/projects to excitement. She is kind, welcoming and incredibly intelligent. I wish I had discovered this professor sooner, It's my 3rd year and i will 100% be taking another course with her (and Karla O'Regan) in my mind the two best professors at STU.

Comment:
Dr. Reid was a really fair marker, and very understanding if something came up in your personal/academic life. She also genuinely cared that you succeeded, and gave students all the additional time they needed on the exam after the 3 hours were up. Everything was open book with a consistent format, that only changed on the exam.

She gets distracted but all of her notes will be online. She does in class handouts that get handed in just for attendance marks does not actually matter if they are done right.

Teaches from her own textbook, gives unclear feedback. Nice person, not a great prof unless you tend toward sycophancy

Susan is an interesting and funny prof but she makes you work hard for your grade. Sometimes it seems like you cannot please her and feels like she pulls random grades from a hat. Not that great giving feedback. Very outspoken but her lectures were interesting. Has frequent assignments and quizzes online. She put a crossword on our exam.

Professor genuinely cares about her students, although comes off hard. Often very disorganized, and poor use of class time. Not a traditional class- did a lot of group work. There shouldn't have been an exam in this class. Overall it was moderate/hard work, and you had to show that you attended class as she arbitrarily gave things to complete.

Nice Lady and easy to talk to, However she picks favorites and is rude. She spends more time telling stories than actually teaching and no one did very well on the midterm due to her lack in teaching.

Extremely friendly Prof! Very easy to talk to and always willing to help. Classes could be a little boring sometimes, and can be hard to follow, but if you put in the effort you will come out with a good mark. She cares about her students and treats you as an equal.

horrible prof, says one thing in class and then emails you the night before a midterm and adds a bunch of stuff. we were told to prepare for one of the 4 essay questions and then she emails us saying that we actually have to do all 4 the night before when we already have a paper and an assignment due for her that night...awful prof

Annoying, but a good prof. She marks easily, and her open book exam was a joke. She takes attendance every class, and has a lot of interest in youth in criminal justice.

Very knowledgeable and passionate, and the class is interesting...until the week before finals, and you realize you've learned absolutely nothing. I learned most from hearing her experiences and general knowledge, not from class notes (which she usually runs through quickly, and then class is over). I came out with an A, and I have no idea how.

Really nice lady, not the best prof. I haven't learned much from her class. She gives TONS of work. We chose to have weekly quizzes rather than one mid-term, but every quiz lasts between 1-2 hours, every week. It's quite a hassle.
