While Dr. Strauss does NOT do the following; field questions, use text, explain terms, explain processes to laypersons, teach to exams, teach to text. He does all work for you and expects retention for exam time. Ridiculous and unreasonable. Unethical, Unprofessional. Choose another section. Another Prof, esp. if you have no programming experience

Dr. Strouse is a rather good teacher. Can be easy going and funny. The programming projects are pretty easy but the tests can be a little difficult. He is helpful both inside and outside of class, and will either make sure you know how to do assignments or more or less do them for you.

nice guy and pretty funny. however. the tests are insane. just about your entire grade is based on them. he doesn't offer much help and is difficult to listen to as he really drags out topics then tests you on more than he covered. if you're amazing at stats, take him and you'll have a good time he's funny. if you're shaky, find another prof.

Homework is only worth a point each (10 total), but can take hours if done properly. Tests are very hard - he covers too much material in the time allotted to take the test. Lectures are straight powerpoints that can put you to sleep. Doesn't work anything by hand which sucks if you can't follow his examples that are precalculated in Excel.

This guy is hilarious, goofy, corny, funny, and you could tell he loves to have fun and help students. Even though material is boring and you don't have to take notes, you still need to come to class. Not a stressful class at all

I can probably do one of his case studies (many of which have little to do with IT anyhow) in my sleep now, but other than that, I don't feel like I learned much outside of broad, sweeping, general business concepts. He's a great guy, I enjoyed him in undergrad classes but not so much this time around for some reason.

Highly intelligent and very funny man with a great background as a former CEO in information systems. His classes are never boring although the material can be. You have to go, but he almost always lets you out at least 10 min early. The tests aren't too bad, but the cases are very time consuming and a bit difficult.

Great guy overall but if you don't know programming good luck. I never had it before and got by with a 3.5 because he gives you a lot of the homework assignments. But I still don't inderstand a thing. Tests are a bit ridiculous and it is hard to get help...he just says "it's not hard don't worry about it"

Great Prof. Love the man. Very funny. Knows his stuff. Easy tests if you pay attention in class. He teaches from PowerPoint and tells you exactly which slides to study for tests. Some homework assignments were difficult, but he's totally willing to help. Great man.

The Strousemeister! He's really cool and funny as hell sometimes...very knowledgeable, probably forgets more about IS each day than I've ever known. Not the best choice for an evening class though - 2.5 hours of slides gets tiresome rather quickly. He's always willing to go out of his way to help students, though, especially on the case studies.
