Professor Adler's class was informative with all the guest speakers, etc. but he was difficult to please in terms of grading. I worked really hard on some assignments only to receive a B because of formatting. I don't know if I recommend taking this class again.

If you want to feel completely hopeless and depressed about the entertainment industry, then this class is for you! Don't be fooled, this class is NOT easy! The tests are impossible and the assignments are far too complicated. All the speakers do is complain and they are in no real position to actually help you. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

If you're expecting to learn a lot about careers in the entertainment industry, don't take this class. While Jerry tries his best to introduce everyone to different kinds of jobs in Hollywood, many of the speakers in my class were low level interns or in entry level jobs so they didn't have a lot of advise to offer. Tests aren't super easy either.

Avoid. And for you're own sake, complete the first assignment verbatum, or you will be screwed the rest of the time. Says he wants to help... says... doesn't actually do. Not as laid back and easy as this website dictates.

This class is awesome! The connections I made from it were invaluable. I've been working for Robert Evans for the past 7 months & I'm interviewing with ICM , Sony Pictures Television & William Morris right now. If you're proactive this class could easily jumpstart an incredibly rewarding & lucrative career. Plus, Jerry "Playboy TV" Adler is the****!

Cool, weird class. Adler is a little different, but you get used to him and go with it. The best part is the rich variety of guest speakers who taught me a lot about the industry. Adler's lectures can put you to sleep within seconds, and the midterm was hard, but overall I'm glad I took the class.
