This was the most dull class I've ever taken. TAKE IT ONLINE!! I only showed up for the tests or to turn in an assignment. There were 3 assignments and 3 tests. You don't really know what to study for since there isn't a study guide. He reads off the power point as well.

I'd honestly never take this class again. His lectures are so dry it just doesn't keep students motivated. I was so bored. I just stopped showing up unless there was a test. By the way the class is revolved around 3 assignments and 3 tests.

Average professor. Gives 6 chances to receive extra credit. 1 short essay at the beginning of semester, 3 video assignments, first test was easy, second exam and final not so easy. Gives you an attitude if you ask him questions but he does care about your grades. Lectures are dull...

Overall he's an average professor. There's one essay in the beginning as a homework assignment but that's it. Some hw assignments here and there, along with quizzes and tests. Gives up to 6 extra credit opportunities, depending on how often you show up to class. Take good notes and you should be fine.

This class was very boring, confusing and the professor was very difficult to talk to. I used to take a lot of interest in genetics but this professor killed it for me. 2 exams, 1 group project, 5 mini assignments and extra credit if you have time to write 6 pages of nonsense. I would not recommend this professor.

All you need to know is to study his previous tests. I walked out with an A and I didn't open my textbook or pay attention in class. He offers pretty significant extra credit that's interesting. I would recommend going to class for the extra credit opportunity. He's very enthusiastic, occasionally passive aggressive and funny in a cheesy way.

Transfer student here who got stuck taking another lower division GE class... Drawhorn is a type of teacher who should work in the field and not teach classes. He gets upset if you ask him to go back to the previous slide or if you ask questions. He posts everything online so its a nice resource. Some of his assignments are pretty tough.. Avoid him

He's a very knowledgeable professor, and graduated from UC Berkeley. Be aware though: Drawhorn is a sensitive person. He doesn't like when you ask questions during his lectures. Other than that, this class is fairly easy, and a good way to fulfill your GE requirements. There are 3 article quizzes, 1 essay, 2 midterms, and the final.

Boring class. Stopped going to class after the second week. Attendance isn't mandatory. All of his quizzes are super easy because he has past examples on sac ct. The past examples are the EXACT SAME QUESTIONS ON THE TEST AND HE GIVES YOU THE ANSWERS TO STUDY FROM! You will need to buy a small textbook for class no need for the big expensive book.

Easy class, but trying to get help from him is impossible. Very rude when answering a question and makes you feel like you are incapable of understanding something. by far the most disrespectful professor i have had.

THIS TEACHER READS OFF OF HIS POWERPOINT SLIDES. Literally word for word. He shouldnt make attendance mandatory when he EMAILS the powerpoint prior to lecture then regurgitates every word. I had to force myself to come to this class because his teaching method was so uninteresting. He made a general ed class that I thought would be cool real boring

Liked this teacher at first, as the class went on got extremely boring. Very dry, does not interact with the class at all, or make any attempt to. Article sets are hard to find answers to. Quizzes/Final are tricky. Sample quizzes may be online, but the tests are quite different. Wanted to like this class, but it just got too aggravating.

Knowing what I know now I would've rather taken a harder class than having to have put up w/this professor & his demeaning approach to students including me. Completely unprofessional. I got a C- in his class though I aced or got B+ on everything, but guess I got on his bad side. Shoud've taken Bio for GE requirement than this ridiculous class!

I like professor Drawhorn. No tricky questions on the tests, if you study tests are easy. Always answers emails, and helpful in office hours if you have a question. Gives extra credit opportunity!! Great guy, and I wish there would be more professors like him. Was my favorite class this semester.

Seems like it's an easy class, but his journals are difficult to find answers to. Hard to sit in his lectures, but attendance isn't mandatory. Tests are easy after you review old exams that he even tells you to look at. Try to take a different professor just because its a lot of information in lectures and seems easier than it is.

This class is a joke, it is so easy! You do NOT need to buy the book, just buy the book that you use for the journals. Three journals and three exams, including the final. For the exams just study the previous exams that he posts, all of the same questions!

Dr. Drawhorn was a nice guy, at least to me. Some of the students in my class had less than positive things to say about him. He treated it like a high school class, but with good reason. Most of the kids in there acted like high schoolers. A little dry and boring, some jokes were not...well, not funny. But he tried, and I mostly enjoyed the class
