At first I was so frustrated, b/c her style is to teach grammar heavily, which isn't the best way to teach. I hated the class. I learned that you have to go to her office hours. I love her now! But, I do feel like she could do in class what she does in office n it would be so much better! Take her class if you have extra time to go to her office.

Don't do it. 5% of your grade is homework, pretty much everything else is quizzes. They aren't easy quizzes. She moved way too fast and didn't seem to care that many students were struggling. Forgot to order the audio component that goes with the textbook. The class was a nightmare, one of the few that I actively tell people to avoid.

I love Frau Gelus! If you study somewhat and mostly do the homework, you should do very good on the tests. Language always takes work but she makes it very fun and attainable.

Non-native spkr, forgot some words in German; responses to identical student participation varied per student; she was somewhat engaging or abrupt and rude; gave us enormously differing grades for very similar work in terms of quality, coverage and focus; did not give any space to the opinions of some students, especially when related to religion
