Very passionate prof, very intelligent and so hard to follow at times. He loves what he does and enjoys his lectures. Given his standards and intelligence, the tests are super tough, yet possible to get an 80% or higher with minimum work.

Prof. Sinnamon is a great professor. But his courses are very difficult and require you to be passionate about learning the subject and willing to do the work necessary to understand the material. It won't be easy, but you will come out knowing a lot more.

I've had prof. Sinnamon a few times. He comes up with really great homework questions that make you think and understand the material, not typical out-of-the-textbook questions. His courses are difficult though, but great and 100% worth it if you love math and like learning. If you hate math and hate learning you should find another professor

Gord is my favourite professor that I've had here at Western. His assignments are difficult but he's always available if you need help. He teaches better than anyone else I know. I've learned so much about mathematics because of him, and he's the reason why I've continued my studies in mathematics. He is a genius and explains concepts really well.

Calculus 1500: If this course is optional for you, DO NOT TAKE IT. He literally does proofs the entire class and then expects you to know above and beyond what he's taught on the test. Did I mention the textbook is no help at all? Requires you to attend all of his office hours, but beware, he insults you the entire time.

the G.O.A.T himself, real analysis is though but gord makes it accessible to students of all levels. Assignments are very difficult, much harder than any test/text problem and forces student to think abstractly. the 9 hrs of testing in the course is demanding but necessary in a course like this. 10/10

Professor Sinnamon is a superb professor. He recognizes that real analysis is difficult, and he provides multiple versions of proofs (not just the textbook proof) in order to help students gain an intuitive understanding of the difficult material. He is funny, and he is available to help you out. Highly recommended!

40% of marks were quizzes, these were 4 m.c. and 3 long answers, he does love his theorems so make sure you know them very well. 20% was the assignment which you get a full week on which should be free marks if you collaborate. 40% was the exam which he ended up boosting everyone on and were easier then the quizzes. Good prof :)

Prof. Sinnamon is a funny guy, and his class was enjoyable. However, he is disorganized and it seems like he does a lot of things off the cuff. As a result, his lectures aren't always very thorough. I would recommend him if you are capable of learning on your own, but if you are dependent on a prof. walking you step by step then he isn't for you.

I'm not sure if anyone reads the ratings as they give a 5 for easiness before selecting. Mr. Sinnamon was fantastic. He told jokes at every lecture, and anytime you needed help he stayed to explain. He took you in whether there were office hours or not. Calculus doesn't come on a silver platter, but it can come with a silver lining. Thank you sir!

He is a nice man, but he will tell you right from the beginning he hates teaching. He will often teach you basic knowledge about a subject, and then follow with questions that would require a solid understanding of the matter, often leaving people lost. His assignments are manageable but his exams are hard, so really study your textbook!

Greatest math professor I've ever had, lectures are done via an online notebook so they are accessible if you miss class. Explains concepts very clearly, provides examples that are a little harder than exams so the actual exams seem easy. Great method of evaluation too

I find that he uses a lot of his time to prove very abstract theorems, which, for me, wasn't all too effective because I was only interested in learning how to answer the question, not thoroughly understand abstract concepts. He's also a bit unorganized, often made mistakes on his notes. Messy handwriting; t was a pain to copy his notes.

Super nice! He is actually friendly, very eager to help you out if you have any problems. Don't be afraid to see him during his office hours. He's very patient and explains concepts over again. His lectures may not be as structured as other profs', so do read the textbook and online notes. Other than that, he's an excellent prof!!
