Could be really helpful if she would stop insulting her students. Starts off semester by saying that no one knows anything about grammar and they are going to have a lot of work to do. Is cruel when students don't know the reason behind their answer, unforgiving for poor quiz or homework scores. Take her only if no other professor available.

Stay AWAY! Her class is extremely boring she is rude and sarcastic and of no help whatsoever. Her grading scale sucks and even if you are doing well in her class she will still treat you like you're stupid. Waste of time.

Somewhat of a hard grader (doesn't give very many As) and can be a little intimidating at times. But the class discussion was interesting and my writing really did improve a lot. I liked her and the class, but I've always liked/been good at writing so I get why someone who doesn't like it wouldn't enjoy her class. I ended up with an A-.

Lyday-Lee really knows what's she's doing. I loved her class and learned a ton. For the Grammar class at least, if you do all the homework, it is going to make your life a lot easier, because she refers to it in every single class. She is strict and expects you to follow the schedule and course parameters to the letter.

Grades you on the length of your paper instead of actual content. Exams are huge take-home papers. Is pompous in person. Doesn't teach, so much as waste your time. Also takes forever to hand back papers. Didn't give a midterm grade and doesn't track it on BlackBoard so you have no clue how you're doing in the class.
