I absolutely love Dr. Raymond! He is one of the best professors in the PoliSci department! Class is like story time, only tests on what he lectures, and has such an interesting life that you just want to hear more! Do not take Russian Politics from anyone but him! You will NOT regret your decision! Only grades are three exams, but they are easy!

Comment:

Professor Raymond is the best professor I have had. I have studied at 3 different colleges and I am glad I ended up here at BSU, Raymond knows his stuff and enjoys teaching what he knows. Def take one of his classes if you get the chance to do so. As long as you show up to class and take notes and suds for the tests then you'll pass with an A or B.

Professor Raymound is by far the best lecturer I have ever had. His lectures are never boring and as long as you take good notes, you don't need the book. Make sure to go to his class. Also his grades are based upon three exams and offers minimal extra credit. If you go to class and take good notes, you will pass. Plus I love listening to his voice

Dr. Raymond is an excellent professor! His lectures are so interesting -- nobody is distracted or nods off. His tests are easily passed if you pay attention to the lectures. And going to his class is like going to story time. Best lecturer I've ever had!

He uses few but very clear slides, gives out handouts as well. His lectures have very useful, detailed, and interesting historical examples. He lectures in story form and answers all questions most clearly. There are only 3 tests and that's it. Don't buy the book, just go to the lectures. Most incredible professor I have ever had!

He is really into what he teaches. There is no need to buy the textbook for 231 if you plan on showing up to lectures (which you should because they are almost always very good). Make sure you catch is Nixon & the World Fair lecture, it is the best.

You will learn about things that only a professor of his caliber would know. And the best part about studying IR under Dr. Raymond is that he has been there and done it. He tells of his experiences as much as he can. Did you know that he was personally followed by the KGB! Amazing class!

Dr. Raymond is the reason I chose to be a Poli Sci major. His lectures are ingenious and he keeps you interested no matter what the topic of discussion may be. He also wrote the textbook you use in class so lecture is RIGHT ON with the book. Would recommend him to anyone... I have.

I have not completed his Political Science 231 class yet but so far he just ROCKS. Smart guy. He knows what he is talking about. If you don't take him, you are making a really stupid mistake. He is a great teacher.
