One of the best professors I have ever had. His method of teaching really makes you "think" and question presumed norms as opposed to mainstream teaching which encourages indoctrination and regurgitation of information to pass a test. What I learned from Dr. Page, I carry with me throughout my entire life!

Amazing professor unlike any other. If you really want to learn and understand, talk to him after class, he's busy so meetings are hard to arrange. If you try and challenge yourself, you will get an A.

Please understand that Dr. Page's teaching is very different from conventional college professors. If students would only visit him outside of class and speak on a friend/fellow human level, NOT and teacher level, you will be pleasantly surprised. You will find a new appreciation for his classes. Please trust me.

I'm not sure what his problem is but I dropped this class fast when I figured out that he's just not that into you. When professors aren't helpful I find that it makes the class feel like a torture session and I certainly don't walk away learning anything except that I wished I never took the class. If you ask me it's not worth your time.

He is not interested in teaching and has no reagards for students. He does not believe in partial teaching and only wants to enforce his ideas into the students mind. He does not allow you to think for yourself but mandate you to agree with him. He does not respond to you and he will not respond to any contact you have made.

I can't believe he is allowed to teach an online course. He doesn't participate in discussions & won't answer any questions until after the course is over, even after several emails & contact my advisor. Very Disappointed with the lack of communication on the Professor's part. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING...WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COURSE!!!

I can see why you all are put off by him because he isnt "kind" but the subject matter isnt pleasant and it accomplishes nothing to sugar coat it. However his teaching style is in much need of improvement. His lectures although intriguing lack a central focus. It seems just like abunch of random rantings about racism. Brilliant mind, poor teacher.

There is such thing as reverse racism. I'm not sure that he practices it but keep it in mind if you take his class. What makes me think that? I have never seen so much work for an undergrad class in my life. Also, he does not get back with you about anything.Whats up with that? Instead of learning it feels like you are being punished. Very Freudian

DO NOT TAKE! Signed up for the class O.L. two times and dropped it both times. First time just thought that because it was summer maybe it was too much work, but took it this past fall and forget it. The assignments are not clear and he doesn't get back to you or grade your assignments.

I consider Dr. Page the best teacher I had in my entire life. He is very kind and encouraging and his lectures are accurate and well presented. He should be an example for other teachers to follow and for the educational institution to respect.

Thats really something that this Professor can have students walking away from his class feeling that they suffered to be enlightened when its actually an abusive way to teach. There are other Professors who can teach you about racism in a much kinder fashion. I don't like to be dumped on for all the evils that African Americans have suffered throu

WARNING I didn't like him at all. Felt he was dogmatic and leads you to where he wants you to go. Love him or hate him just read all the reviews so you can make a good decision for yourself. My learning style does not match up with his. It has nothing to do with my character it is a preference. He overwhelms me and seems to be too controlling.

One of the best teachers in the world. If you're defensive, dumb, unimaginative, egotistical, spoiled, presumptuous, or hermetically sealed in a glass bubble, you might not like him, because he's going to say things that may conflict with your ideas of who you are.

I understand where he's coming from but if I want a therapist I'll go get one.I don't go to UMASS to subject myself to rantings about how "white I am". To me his job is to teach and not force his agenda down your throat. Plus, he should remember what happened to Ward Churchill.Being overly paranoid destroys your mind.

BEWARE! Never take this class over the summer unless you like to work like a dog. You have to read a Chapt a day, watch movies and read website material plus write after every assignment plus write a lengthy midterm and final research paper. Also you will have to be subjected to admitting how you practice and sustain racism. Whites are victims also!

He's a powerful person! In the beginning he might be a bit hard to accept because he smacks you with what's happening in the reality. But he definitely taught me a lot about life and how to face problems and identify racism. If you want to open up your views in this world, he's pretty awesome!

Unearned white privlege, and racials issues hit deep emotionally. Enoch will test your inner being, and change your views on racism no matter what race you are, or how much experience you have. He is a good person, who is very straightforward, and barely humble. Take the class, test yourself. If not, know your missing a wealth of knowledge.
