He is the worst teacher! when you asked questions he would cut you off and barely answer your question. a simple yes or no question took about a paragraph for him to respond with. When ask to know your grade he says no , then ask to swing by office hours to know grade still a no "i will send you a formula for you to calculate your own grade" Avoid!

This was so bad. learn on your own. no idea how i got through this im typically an A student and i barely got a C-. i studied at least 8 hours for each test. he rambles about nothing and mocks you for asking questions.

This class was pretty bad. Once you get over the way he talks on and on and learn how to listen only to the important stuff then its okay. just don't get hung up on how annoying he is. i just kinda zoned out until he started writing on the board. but you HAVE to study hard for the tests-they're detailed!

I am good in math and I took this class fairly interested in the topic but this professor is horrible. He only teaches his way and if you dont understand you are done for. He doesn't explain clearly and is way to scattered brained. Even in math 105 he is a bad teacher. Do not take his class.

This teacher is AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. I just dropped his class because I'm failing and I've never done this poorly in a math class before. This teacher mumbles, never completes what he is talking about, goes way too fast, he's terrible. Then when he tries to "help" you, no lie, he makes you feel like a complete idiot. Drop his class while you can.

Continously rambles about subjects that are not pertinent to the course. Purposely confuses the students. As a honors student in high school, his class was the first tiome I've ever gotten a C. Almost all of the students in our class complained about his horrible teaching methods. He is of no help outside or in class, and his exams are brutal.

Coming into college as a freshmen, this was by far one of the WORST classes I have ever taken. Dr. Barzilai is one of the most incomprehensible and unclarifying teachers I have ever been taught by. Not only did he teach the wrong methods for certain subjects, but the exams were nearly impossible to do well. He goes on pointless rants. AVOID HIM!

I had him during his exchange year at Cornell, I don't know why people don't like him. He explains concepts really well, is very comprehensive in his examples, and teaches at an appropriate and easy pace. May seem eccentric, but it only adds to the flavor of his teaching. Very friendly and approachable.
