I'm about to sign up for a third class with this professor, simply because I have learned so much from him while I've been a student at UNCC. If you're willing to learn, ie show up to class prepared and ready to engage, you can learn a lot. I suck at economics but managed to make a B in the class by putting forth the effort. Don't take for easy A.

Stay away if you can. You're only graded by one paper and exams & if you make a C on one exam it's hard to pull your grade up. No access to his powerpoints, and he lectures based off of his general points so you have to really pay attention and hope you're taking good notes. He gives you a close to nothing study guide that doesn't help.

Gives you his own opinion of everything and then claims he will not. This class tested my patience, and he assumed that people knew what he was talking about but nobody really knew. I would stay away unless you absolutely have to take the class.

Ok, keeping it real, this guy's funny and cool but not the best at preparing for tests (biggest portion of grade). I've never gotten below a B and expect a B from him, and I feel like the material he teaches can be dry and a lot of what he says in class is in the textbook word for word (he wrote it). I wouldn't avoid him but I wouldn't take again.

This has honestly been the worst professor I had. 2 books, no study guide, boring lecture, and tests difficult. I got all As in the semester but not his class. No amount of reading will help you. He treats you as if you were dumb and doesn't give access to his powerpoint. Unless you are a wizard at INTL economy, stay away. It is not worth it

Really great professor. Knows his stuff so it can be a little intimidating, but he's very nice. Do the readings in the book and on moodle and you will be fine. Exams were the same as the study guides. Participate in discussions in class and he will like you!

I'm sincerely upset that I can't take another class with him before I graduate. He's funny, his class isn't very stressful, and he has an engaging and interesting lecturing style compared to the vast majority of teachers. Just don't miss class often, take good notes, and study and you should do fine. It is a little hard to make an A, though.

He is nice and really tries, but the material is dry and he ends up being very long winded. He grades extremely hard and takes points off easily for written tests. One major paper and I was given a B for "leaving out one thing"...overall, not the best and grade won't necessarily reflect time and effort put in for the class.

I absolutely LOVED the professor. The lectures were boring sometimes, and he is very long winded. READ READ READ! The tests are pretty hard, but the project is easy. Overall, I liked the professor but not the class so much.

Excellent professor. Obviously engaged in his field of work. Always discussed what was going on in the world & related it back to what we were covering in class. Very energetic & animated for his age. I had an interest in int'l studies prior to the class, but he gave me more reason to. His tests are pretty easy in my opinion. (He's handsome, too).

Amazing professor. Kept students engaged the whole time. Come to class and take notes on lecture. Tests are somewhat hard. Make sure you do your readings before you come to class so you can participate, he loves it when people interact with the lecture.

He was very long winded for all the topics we disccussed in International Studies. Really interesting topics, but can be kinda boring listening to him lecture for so long. The readings are interesting, and if you read and listen to him you'll pass. He does take attendance. The grades consists of three test and a small project.

you have 3 different books to read for the class. READ them. His tests are hard (20 mult choice, one or two essays, and a short answer or two. He puts up very few points on powerpoint and the rest of his notes are straight from his lecture. Study and pay attention and you will do fine. READ AND TAKE NOTES ON EVERYTHING!
